The 13 Most Annoying People of 2013

Taki Magazine -
"As someone who’s offended by nothing but annoyed by everyone, I found no shortage of people this past year to stoke the angry embers of my irascible soul. Try as I may to shield my eyes from the countless blinding petty indignities and massive vexations of everyday existence, each sunrise seemed to drop a new human being on my doorstep to annoy me.
I tend to focus on the negative at the expense of everything else, so when I looked back over the past year, I immediately began thinking of people who annoyed me. It was hard to winnow down my list to only 13 selections. They are ranked in ascending levels of annoyance. Although I bear no personal ill will toward any of these people, nor do I engage in any violent fantasies about them, it would not be untrue to say that I would not cry if, say, any of them were to be struck dead by a train in the coming New Year....."

4. PIERS MORGAN
This fey, pompous, snooty, lime-farting Enemy of All Things American had the gall and fundamental lack of honesty to call Rachel Jeantel a “smart cookie” after an appearance on his show that revealed Jeantel to be dumber than a hippo basking in an African mud pond. All year long, Morgan railed against guns, racism, Americans, American guns, American racists, and American racists with guns. Here’s hoping that some meth-addled gun nuts somewhere in the American heartland devise a gun big enough to shoot Piers Morgan all the way back to England.

2. TOURÉ
This sourpussed high-yella jerkoff is MSBNC’s go-to pseudo-black guy whenever they want to blame white males for everything, which is always. He attended prep school in Massachusetts and is both in mannerisms and life experiences about as black as whipped cream. In college he edited a blackety-black newspaper that was “criticized for being militantly anti-white.” He has forged a career upon being black and talking about black things in a black way that stupid racist whites could never understand, but he fails to realize that such tired race-baiting only serves to create more white racists than Tom Metzger’s latest country-and-western album.

Dems Close Borders to Stop Illegal Light Bulb Trafficking

Brilliance Known as The People's Cube
by Komissar Blogunov
"Once again Democrats, the Pioneers of Progress™, have led the way against the animalistic howls and cries of the Republican opposition and have secured the borders of our country. What was once a prosecutable hate crime for Republicans has become an act of Compassion™ and Caring™ by the forward looking Democrats. Republicans, at least a few of them, wanted to close the borders of America to keep undocumented voters locked up in the south, and deny Canadians access to affordable health care in the north. But now that incandescent light bulbs are as illegal as lemonade stands in all 50 states, the borders must be secured to prevent black market light bulbs, or black lights, from entering the country through our large and porous borders.
Wheezing from the floor of the Senate earlier today, a victorious Harry Reid could barely help congratulating himself. “We have finally made our Republican colleagues see the light,” said the Senate majority leader, obviously delighted by his clever pun, “and now they too see the importance of border security. Millions of these incandescent light bulbs, identified by every responsible news outlet as the greatest environmental threat since George W Bush, are still available in Canada and Mexico. The potential damage to this country by the influx of illegal light bulbs would be incalculable and could cost billions, if not trillions, to undo.....”

A Short History of ‘Political Correctness’

There is a direct cause-and-effect for why one must be politically correct–or else.  It is by design and progressives (aka Marxists) own it.

The following three videos on “The History of Political Correctness” from the Free Congress Foundation about political correctness and the Frankfurt School of Critical Theory are a good introduction to those not schooled of this scourge on Liberty and Freedom.

In the second clip we learn about Cultural Marxism and political correctness’s “most fashionable cause,” environmental activism — then the most recent “cause” embraced by Van Jones.

In the third and final clip David Horowitz ties Political Correctness into the radical movement of which he was once a part. Also see William S. Lind’s The Roots of Political Correctness, November 19, 2009, following the massacre of soldiers at Fort Hood by Major Nidal Hasan. Published in The American Conservative, Lind attempts to explain how this happened and sums up a lot of the material covered in the above video clips.

Dems Call for Investigation of Popular Philanthropist and North Pole Businessman

(MFNS) - Middle Finger News has learned that leading Democrat House members are calling for a congressional investigation of North Pole Businessman and Philanthropist, S. Claus, on allegations of a possible long running conspiracy with American Retailers such as Walmart, Target, Macys and many others involving unfair profiteering.

From her district office in California House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal) accused Mr. Claus of conspiring for years by way of a made up holiday to enrich himself as well as already wealthy retail and related industry CEO's.

"This conspiracy involves duping small businesses and households to spend their already stretched resources, money that could be otherwise used to support a government the people want and demand." Pelosi announced. "This is Big Business Trickery and Greed at it's worst and we plan to pressure congress to look into it throughly."

Even more egregious accusation were leveled at Mr. Claus by newly sworn in Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson. "For years NORAD has monitored Mr. Claus Violating United States air space without notification, permission or any attempt at communicating his intent. He is widely known to covertly penetrate restricted areas such as Air Bases, Military installations and even the White House at times in the dead of night." Johnson added "we cannot have anyone just breezing across our sovereign borders without permission. He's damn lucky some fly boy hasn't shot his ass out of the air!"

Although not a resident of the U.S., an Equal Opportunity Commission Spokesman addressed discrimination concerns about hiring practices at Mr. Claus foreign headquarters by stating Mr. Claus seems to hire exclusively low wage, non-union small people to slave away day in and day out at his foreign manufacturing operations. "We find this disturbing, a trend common in the third world."

From Houston office Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tex) also expressed concerns "about this White Christmas thang" and over Mr. Claus conceived racist tendencies by the constant use of the phase "Ho-Ho-Ho". Congress person Lee asked "Where does this fat ol' white man get off goin round callin people Ho's anyway?"

Have a Way with Words? Just Might Get You a Free House in Lovely Detroit

Good news for struggling writers: the key to sustaining your lifestyle
is to go to a city that’s struggling more.

AlterNet - A new nonprofit organization called Write-A-House, located in Detroit, Michigan (which, earlier this year, became the largest city in the United States to file for and enter bankruptcy) has found something creative to do with the city’s seemingly endless blocks of vacant homes—gut them from the inside-out, fix them up, and give them to writers.

Sarah Cox, one of the founders of Write-A-House, and an editorial director for the real estate site Curbed, moved to Detroit from New York in 2010 in order to start the site’s Detroit blog. There, she witnessed the city's desire to rebuild and rebrand, and found what was missing in order to make the dream into a reality.

“In the past three years, I’ve seen incredible progress, but there is still so much room for more in the literary arts,” she said in a press release formally announcing the city-wide project. “This is a city with unique, historic and fascinating stuff happening. We think there are writers who will want to come and be a part of it.

The non-profit is currently in the process of raising $25,000 on crowd-funding site IndieGoGo, and working with Young Detroit Builders to help get the houses into shape using the city’s youth who are interested in building trades and contracting. So far, Write-A-House has already purchased three homes in the neighborhood of Hamtramck, known for its diversity and close proximity to Detroit proper. On the same street as the three refurbished houses is the Powerhouse Project, an organization that similarly prioritizes artists moving into the neighborhood in an effort to rebuild Detroit.

Low-income writers apply to Write-A-House each Spring by sending writing samples and a letter of intent. The judges choosing writers based on their application include National Poet Laureate Billy Collins, writer and filmmaker Dream Hampton, poet Major Jackson, and more. The process would guarantee housing for at least two years, with writers leasing the homes from the non-profit directly. If the writers stay for a minimum of two years, they are awarded the deed to the home, and the city will have received a new resident, another step towards recovery.

“We chose [these neighborhoods] to start because it’s a smaller community and we felt we could have an impact,” acting director Kat Hartman told The Huffington Post. For her, it’s a process of saving the city neighborhood by neighborhood. “They need more good neighbors.”

For Detroit, it seems a good comeback story requires good writers to tell it.

Who's Really Making Out Like Bandits in Obama's Economy?

Think it's just Wall Street moguls that are doing well, seeing the fed has been pumping 85 Billion a month into the stock market. No.

Surrounding Washington D.C. are 10 of the riches counties in the country. Flush with money, coming straight out of your pocket and into theirs. Government policies like TARP, the fake stimulus, and Obamacare have been very good for Washington’s ruling class.

Check out this map showing 10 of the 15 richest counties in America are the ones surrounding our nation’s imperial capital.

image via International Liberty
Who would have guessed that the wages of sin are so high?

Here are some interesting nuggets from a report in the Washington Business Journal:
"D.C. residents are enjoying a personal income boom. The District’s total personal income in 2012 was $47.28 billion, or $74,733 for each of its 632,323 residents, according to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer’s Economic and Revenue Trends report for November. The U.S. average per capita personal income was $43,725."
Why is income in D.C. so much higher?

First, bureaucrats are paid too much, getting twice as much compensation on average as people in the productive sector of the economy. Second, lobbyists, contractors, and interest groups have figured out how to get lucrative positions at the federal trough.
"In terms of pure wages, D.C., on a per capita basis, was 79 percent higher than the national average in 2012 — $36,974 to $20,656. …Employee benefits were 102 percent higher in D.C. than the U.S. average in 2012, $7,514 to $3,710. Proprietor’s income, 137 percent higher — $9,275 to $3,906. …The numbers suggest D.C. residents are living the high life."
Below is a chart from Zero Hedge comparing income growth for both D.C. and the nation as a whole over the last few decades.  It shows how D.C. income grew faster than the rest of the nation during the Bush years, and then even more dramatically during the Obama years.

MSN Money has a report that illustrates how the political elite is getting very rich by plundering honest Americans. America has 3,033 counties, and they identified the 15 richest jurisdictions from that list.

this from Real Clear Policy on feeding from the public trough:
"What makes Washington especially profitable is that its only products are the laws, rules, and regulations that it has the power to force everyone else to follow. …We seem to be sliding toward what the authors term “extractive” institutions. That means government is using its power to benefit a handful of influential individuals at the expense of everyone else."
And let’s not forget that some people are getting very very rich from Obamacare while the rest of us lose our insurance or pay higher prices. Washington’s wealth comes at the expense of everyone else. The politicians seize our money at the point of a gun (or simply print more of it) to finance an opulent imperial city.

Oh...NOW It's a Hate Crime?

Attorney General  Eric Holder - Race based Justice in Action

Only now, after scores of innocent people walking the streets are viciously attacked, many of them females, does Eric Holder and company decide we have a hate crime. Par for the course in Obama's America....
"Federal authorities said Thursday they have arrested and charged a Texas man in connection with the “knockout game,” accusing him of a hate crime for targeting a black man for a vicious street attack.
Most knockout victims that have appeared in news reports have been white, but the Justice Department said in this instance the victim was a 79-year-old black man, and stepped in with federal charges.
The assailant, 27-year-old Conrad Alvin Barrett was white. An idiot trying to see if he were to "hit a black person, would this be nationally televised?” And yes, he needs to go to jail!
"The “game” has spawned a fierce debate since many of the reported victims have been white and their assailants have been black, but hate crimes charges have been all but non-existent.
Last month New York authorities did charge one person with a hate crime, saying the assailant targeted a Jewish man."
I have never bought the "Randomness" of these attacks.  Look up the word Random.
In some cases these are calculated predatory acts on innocent prey. This is no different than the "random" murders black gang members were required to comment against people of a color other than their own as an initiation rite in the 1980's. Then too, authorities refused to admit these attack were race related.....and rooted in hate.

The only real difference is these attacks are being video taped and widely disseminated on media websites.

Presents Fit for the King

To the Readers of DMF....

Have a Very Merry Christmas

"Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished."

A Politically Correct Night Before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas and Santa's a wreck...
How to live in a world that's politically correct?
His workers no longer would answer to "Elves".
"Vertically Challenged" they were calling themselves.
And labor conditions at the north pole
Were alleged by the union to stifle the soul.

Four reindeer had vanished, without much propriety,
Released to the wilds by the Humane Society.
And equal employment had made it quite clear
That Santa had better not use just reindeer.
So Dancer and Donner, Comet and Cupid,
Were replaced with 4 pigs, and you know that looked stupid!

The runners had been removed from his sleigh;
The ruts were termed dangerous by the E.P.A.
And people had started to call for the cops
When they heard sled noises on their roof-tops.
Second-hand smoke from his pipe had his workers quite frightened.
His fur trimmed red suit was called "Unenlightened."

And to Those Who Serve....

Merry Christmas Jackie......Keep Your head Down and Get Home Safe.

Former Team Obama Members Cashing in on The Big Bucks

We all remember the delightful Deputy Campaign Manager, Stephanie Cutter
No doubt, former Presidential Administration officials have left service to do well afterwards. From media, to consulting and lobbying, to University Presidents, the world opens up to them. But as members of a corrupt, non-transparent and poorly run administration, the Obama team seems to be cashing in extremely well.
"The West Wing is more in flux than usual. John Podesta's in as the new Fixer. Phil Schiliro is back to mend fences with Congress. Longtime Obama consigliere Pete Rouse is leaving. Reports have other White House vets delaying their departures until the ship feels righted.
But those departures will come – and likely sooner rather than later. And if their predecessors are any indication, the next wave of aides to jump will be able to leverage their experience and contacts into lucrative way private sector gigs.
Here's a look at ex-Obama aides who have done well by their work with the president.
David Axelrod
Old gig: Political guru and West Wing counselor -
New gig: Taking his guru-ness to the next level by establishing the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago; advising clients in races as far-flung as Italy; living comfortably on the sale of his stake in two Chicago public affairs firms in 2009 for $3 million; working on his memoir due to be published in 2014 by Penguin Press; working as a paid political analyst for NBC News; a highly-paid member of the Washington Speakers Bureau.
 Stephanie Cutter
Old gig: Obama health-care strategist; deputy 2012 campaign manger
New gig: Yelling at Newt Gingrich daily on CNN's Crossfire; recently formed Precision Strategies with ex-Obama aides Jen O'Malley Dillon and Teddy Goff. "We built and managed a $1.2 billion start-up called the Obama campaign," their site says.
Mike Donilon
Old gig: Senior adviser to Vice President Joe Biden
New gig: This summer joined AKPD Message and Media—which just happens to be Axelrod's old firm and which was retained by Bill de Blasio's successful New York mayoral bid. His campaign paid the firm more than $7 million."

What did you stop for, I got my head out of the wall!

440-lb Virgin Sends First Partner to ER
UPI - The first time that 440-pound Gregg Casarona had sex, he had his 110-pound girlfriend seeing stars after he put her head through the sheetrock wall of her parents' Long Island basement.
Casarona, who is 21, stopped after seeing what had happened, a move that his girlfriend, 22-year old Jen Gerakaris, didn’t appreciate at the time.
“Why’d you stop?” she asked after pulling her head out of the wall. “He looked like he was about to have a heart attack. So I just wanted to lighten the mood.”
His first reaction?
“I killed her,” Casarona recalled thinking. “This is my first time. And Jen is dead.”
Gerakaris soon became dizzy and nauseous so Casarona brought her to the hospital. She was diagnosed with a concussion.
Despite her injury, Gerakaris didn’t regret the decision.
"I knew he was a virgin and I honestly didn’t care," Gerakaris said. "We were dating for a little while and he hadn’t put any moves on me yet so I made a move. In the beginning, there were lots of pillows and we didn’t do it anywhere near a wall."
I'm respectfully fighting back the urge to comment on this.......

A Good Monday Morning

Obama's Olympic 'In Your Face, Putin'

For the first time since 2000 and Jimmy Carter's silly boycott, the U.S. will not send a president, former president, first lady or vice-president (that's understandable) to the Olympic Games because of Russia's outlawing of  'Gay propaganda'.

But instead, the small U.S. delegation for the opening and closing ceremonies will include a FU message in the name of three openly gay athletes and a diplomat still hiding behind the closet door. Those athletes, tennis legend Billie Jean King and hockey player Caitlin Cahow, will be joined by the recently coming out figure skater Brian Boitano, and former cabinet secretary Janet Napolitano, a presidential advisor, and the U.S. ambassador to Russia.

Obama mouthpiece Jay Carney was asked at the daily White House press briefing whether the delegation was intended to make a obvious political point. While he said such a message would not be sent “through this manner,” his response also repeatedly referred to “diversity” — a word Carney mentioned seven times in his answers.
“Every member of that delegation is extremely accomplished, either in government service or in civic activism or, most especially, in sports. So he’s very proud of the delegation and the diversity it represents. And he looks forward, as every American does, to the competition and to the effort that American athletes will demonstrate when they compete in Sochi.”
The announcement prompted an enthusiastic response from the Human Rights Campaign, which recently sent a letter urging Obama to include gays and lesbians in the U.S. delegation, which they seemed to have gleefully agreed as if this was to be his revenge for being upstaged at the recent G20. The U.S. Olympic Committee has so far made no comment about the sexual orientation of the delegation.

Politically Correct Outrage Meter

Not Quite What They Expected.....From Us Or Them

Duck Dynasty is not the show that A&E wanted,
it is the show that got away from them.

In a sense Duck Dynasty is a modern day Beverly Hillbillies. Those Hillbillies had lots of money too, a love of family, and exotic tastes in food – eating possum and gizzards and all sorts of things that we regularly see the Ducks cooking – such as squirrel and frogs. The Hillbillies series started out mocking the family that called their luxury swimming pool a “cement pond” and outsmarted by simple technologies such as phones. America however wound up falling in love with the Beverly Hillbillies and especially with the tough and zany Granny. Soon enough the joke backfired as the series converted the mockers into fans and the jokes increasingly came at the expense of the city slickers.

Duck Dynasty has Beverly Hillbillies backfire written all over it:

"It seems what the producers intended and what A&E envisioned with the show is much different than the show that they ended up with, but they didn't do anything about it because it was so wildly popular and so wildly profitable. But even with all the money, they have never really been comfortable with what happened.
The whole idea of the show was to parade these nouveau riche Christian hillbillies around so that we could laugh at them. "Look at them," we were supposed to say. "Look how backward they are! Look what they believe! Can you believe they really live this way and believe this stuff? See how they don't fit in? HAHAHA"
When the producers saw the way the show was shaping up, different than they envisioned it, they tried to change course. They tried to get the Robertson's to tone down their Christianity, but to their eternal credit they refused. They tried to add fake cussin' to the show by inserting bleeps where no cussword was uttered. At best, they wanted to make the Robertson's look like crass buffoons. At worst they wanted them to look like hypocrites.
They desperately wanted us to laugh at the Robertsons. Instead, we loved them."

Watching Phil Robertson shoot, disembowel and skin  various animals then watch Mrs. Kay cook clearly discernible squirrels and ducks and otherwise engage in a cuisine that is foreign to us is part of the Ducks “charm”. You don’t have to enjoy the cooking to appreciate the lifestyle and love the Robertsons enjoy. You don’t have to agree with the religious opinions or even like all the cast members to enjoy the company of the Duck Dynasty crew and family.

As with the Beverly Hillbillies the Duck Dynasty is all about family. This family has had trial by fire. The patriarch Phil was a drunk and all around nogoodnik who abandoned his family and caused all sorts of trouble for himself and those that loved him. Eventually Phil, because of the love and persistence of his wife, corrected course. Today, it is clear that the family not only loves but respects Phil.

When a lizard escapes in the company warehouse, it is Phil that is called. When business pressures build up after a large order that cannot be fulfilled due to lack of workers it is Kay that comes though by organizing family and friends to the rescue. At every turn, in every situation, the parents are looked up to and respected. It is something shocking to see because that is a long gone narrative on American TV.

American TV today tells only one story when it comes to family: the kids are smart and the parents are idiots. That story is told in every entertainment show, movies (ever see Home Alone?), and commercials. The parents are dopes unable to function without the wise guiding hands of the children.

And that notion even reached into 2008 presidential politics, as Barack Obama’s campaign organized the young to lecture their elders on the wisdom of electing Barack Obama.

After Disastrous Year, America Treats Obamas to 4 Million Dollar Christmas Vacation

"The biggest Christmas present from the Obamas, today winging their way to a $4-million, 17-day Hawaiian trip, is the merciful lack of their overbearing presence in Washington, DC. One can only imagine the coming 2014 and beyond horrors being planned for the unwashed masses during 17 days far from the maddening crowds in Hawaii." - Judi McLeod - CFP
Air Force One Prepares to Leave Washington for Hawaii
"Bon Voyage to Mr. and Mrs. Obama and their hangers-on on their Hawaiian holiday who long ago proved to the world that there is no difference to civilized society whether they are in-house in Washington or gorging during the dolce vita.
With the kind of millions being lavished on their Hawaiian compound, we won’t have to wish them ‘Don’t let the bedbugs bite”, but can always sarcastically hope they don’t get stung by the jellyfish."
Just as the Obamas’ Hawaiian bon voyage comes with a stinging slap in the face, the Christmas card they sent out from the White House this year avoids the word ‘Christmas’."

Presidential Powers Now Used to Free Crack Dealers

Obama wields his presidential powers to commute the sentences of eight crack dealers in first step toward balancing historic laws that 'unfairly punished' poor black people.

Anyone old enough to remember the crack epidemic of 1980's and 90's, an epidemic of death and destruction of lives by a highly addictive drug even more dangerous than the present meth problem, this should make little sense. In the black community, the rise of gangs and the violence associated that came with crack has not ceased to this day.

But, it is the Age of Obama....

"In a move designed to redress the glaring racial disparity between those serving sentences for crack possession and those jailed for carrying cocaine, President Obama commuted the prison sentences of eight people on Thursday after deciding their offenses did not justify the length of their time behind bars.

All eight were sentenced under old federal guidelines that treated convictions for crack cocaine offenses harsher than those involving the powder form of the drug and led to tens of thousands of black people serving long prison terms, while those caught with cocaine - who were more likely to be white - were handed lenient jail time.
Of the eight, some had been sentenced to life imprisonment for dealing crack cocaine at the age of only 17 because of harsher sentences created in the 1980s designed to fight what was seen as an epidemic of the highly addictive drug on the streets of America. It was enacted in 1986 when crack cocaine use was rampant and considered a particularly violent drug.
The president signed the Fair Sentencing Act in 2010 to cut penalties for crack cocaine offenses in order to reduce the disparity. But the act addressed only new cases, not old ones....."

So They say It's About Hate?

A Bit of Double Standard Here?

 Christian Businessman                         Notorious Gay Activist

Another Progressive Moral Panic

Does the left's most recent outrage, moral indignation and attack on freedom of expression and anything good and moral really surprise you in the age of Obama? Just read the first sentence of this  GQ article:
"How in the world did a family of squirrel-eating, Bible-thumping, catchphrase-spouting duck hunters become the biggest TV stars in America?"
It's almost as if you can tell their little elitist sphincters are eating a hole in the chair as they type.

Resembling a figure from the Old Testament, Phil Robertson paraphrased a verse from the New:
“Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
The PR wing of GLAAD eventually sprung from their king-size fainting couch and bitterly denounced Robertson’s orthodox views. Their virtual flash mob so intimidated A&E that the network suspended the show’s star indefinitely. Because he said something GLAAD didn’t agree with.

I think Jon Gabriel's take is quite good on the whole thing:
"When did we as a culture get so panicked about words? As a child I learned that sticks and stones may break your bones, but now I know that words will really hurt you. People in the media consistently insult my beliefs and lifestyle, yet I never demand they be censored or fired. I’m not afraid of different perspectives; the more the merrier. But in today’s hypersensitive environment, the first response isn’t “I disagree,” but “FIRE HIM!”
Unlike GLAAD and other closed-minded agitators, I celebrate diversity. My social and family gatherings are filled with liberals, conservatives, gays, straights, Christians, atheists & agnostics. We trade barbs, some which occasionally go too far, but we still get along famously. Our differences and our flaws is what keeps it interesting.
I can’t imagine living in a world where everyone agreed with me. How tedious. But that is apparently what progressives demand.
The Left started the culture war, won it resoundingly, and now they're roaming the country shooting the wounded survivors. Instead of allowing dissent, they conduct blasphemy trials demanding public recantations and penance. They accuse conservatives of being Puritans, but they’re the ones with the torches and buckled hats.
I don’t agree with everything said by Phil Robertson or Penn Jillette or Neil Patrick Harris or Patton Oswalt or anyone else. And I’m fine with that. I still would love to share a meal with any one of them.
So, lefties, give Phil Robertson a break. It's not like he said Santa was white."
* Just a side note: For those of you not from Louisiana, Phil Robertson was a star quarterback in high school and earned a scholarship to play at Louisiana Tech, but quit after one season because football interfered with duck-hunting season. The guy who took his roster spot at Tech was one young man from down the road a bit named Terry Bradshaw.

Burglar’s relative says: “He could have used a warning first…”

From WTTC News in Dallas , we get this heartwarming tale of a long-time criminal, 33 year old Deyfon, who tried to climb in a window of a Texas home.

Dead burglar

The elderly owner occupant saw him and fired one shot, ending Deyfon’s criminal career. As the police do, they came by to investigate, gathered the corpse, then went to notify Deyfon’s family of his unfortunate demise. It seems that the family was very upset, because they showed up at the scene. “He could have used a warning,” Lakesha Thompson, Pipkins’ sister-in-law, complained. “He could have let him know that he did have a gun on his property and he would use it in self-defense.”

COMMENT FROM THE SIDELINE:
That’s certainly true, Lakesha. He could also have invited him in and given him a beer, then helped him cart the TV out to the curb. “Unfortunately for Deyfon , Texas is a Castle Doctrine State, and the homeowner chose to shoot Deyfon, as is right and proper to do in Texas .

For that matter, Lakesha, you could have warned Deyfon. Why didn’t YOU tell him: Deyfon, yo’ need to quit breakin’ into those peoples’ houses and stealin’  shit. Else somebody gonna to pop a cap in yo’ ass...

The World's Collective Lunacy in Action

U.N. Adopts Iran’s ‘World Against Violent Extremism’ Act
Free Beacon
The United Nations overwhelmingly voted on Wednesday to adopt an Iranian and Syrian authored resolution that calls on nations across the globe to denounce violence and extremism.
The U.N.’s General Assembly voted by consensus to approve the “World Against Violent Extremism” (WAVE) Act, which critics lambasted as hypocritical, given Iran’s designation as one of the global leaders in executions and state-sponsored terrorism.

Iran is one of the world’s worst human rights abusers a regime that hangs gays, stones women, imprisons journalists, and executes political opponents.”
“At first one might think it odd that Iran and Syria have just led the U.N. General Assembly in adopting a resolution on ‘a world against violence and violent extremism’—but at the U.N. it all makes sense,” said Anne Bayefsky, director of the Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust.
“It’s an organization which has no definition of terrorism because according to the folks who control the place, the ‘Terrorists R Us,’” Bayefsky said. “So there’s no problem condemning extremists, because the extremists are us too. The saddest part? American taxpayers—aka extremists—are paying for this production line.”
Iran’s WAVE Act urges member nations to take “appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace and to achieve international cooperation in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character,” according to text of the resolution.
It also encourages “respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction of any kind such as to race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinions, national or social origin, property, birth, or other status.”

Vanity Fair: Damn You Hipsters for Making G.W. Bush an Icon

He paints, he loves cats, he’s awesome at the Internet, he writes consoling letters to football kickers who lose important match-ups for their teams and he takes selfies with Bono at major world leaders’ memorial services. And the hipsters are falling as hard for GWB as they did for PBR and Beats by Dre.

According to the web-site Naked DC, the sophisticated glossy tome of old Hollywood, Vanity Fair,  who’s most recent achievement was a near-defamatory observation of Gwyneth Paltrow’s lack of reality in selecting cooking utensils, is old enough to remember when young whipper-snappers were all “Bush sucks!” and showing up at high school anti-Bush rallies with all manner of creative slogan apparel and diagnosing his apparently impaired cognitive ability in Huffington Post puff pieces.

But now that he’s stumbled into something of an image revival, they would like you to please get your George W. Bush limited edition self-portrait lithograph off their front lawn.
"If you are a liberal older than, say, 24—old enough to either hate Thought Catalog or not know what Thought Catalog is, is a better barometer—you know this. That George W. Bush is uncool, lame, establishment, square, and odious, etc., is a political fact as self-evident and unnecessary to argue as “Mitt Romney takes double-A batteries” or “Bill Clinton has an oiliness about him.”
"But if you are younger than 24, you might not have attended anti-Bush rallies in high school and in college. You might not have pinned “SHRUB” buttons to your tote bag, and might not even remember Bush as a war-lovin’, vowel-droppin’, faux-folksy, ostentatiously religious Connecticut cowboy. This is because Bush has, quietly and wholly, ingeniously refashioned himself into an Internet-friendly, cat-loving, ironic-hat-wearing painter-cum-Instagram savant. Lately, George W. Bush is a hipster icon, and the Internet, unofficial Fourth Estate of the youth of America, is totally buying it....."
Thankfully, the author closed out her piece with an always-appropriate comparison of George W. Bush to Nazi sympathizers and accused murders, so at least she didn’t sacrifice every shred of intellectual capital she was tenuously grasping.

The response to the Vanity Fair piece is as muted as you would expect. At least one commenter suggested that perhaps George W. Bush himself was orchestrating a conspiracy in the site’s comment section, resulting in less “likes” that truly existed. And then there’s this (I usually don't link to these degenerates) which is an unabashed precursor to a small stroke.

So Damn you, hipsters, for liking George W. Bush, who is a generally likable guy when not actually Presidenting anything. How dare you. The Elizabeth de la Vega book says he’s a war criminal after all, and in case you haven’t noticed, he’s been secretly masterminding the decline of the Affordable Care Act from a Transylvanian castle using only his powers of thought magnified through Dick Cheney’s used heart valve collection.
