Creativity is Now the Purview of the Emperor Obama

Plans Required Permits for Photographers in National Parks

Ansel Adams made himself and our national parks famous for photographing the natural beauty he found in the great American west. Now, in this land of “freedom and liberty,” Obama plans to prevent any more Ansel Adams by forcing photographers to get permits to be allowed to photograph our parks.
Adams roamed freely in this land of the free and captured images that have been beloved by naturalists all around the world.
But now Obama is planning to put a stranglehold on new Ansel Adams by controlling who is *allowed* to take photos in our national parks with a new “permit” system. Worse, Obama plans to charge up to $1,500 for these permits according to a report by the Associated Press.
"Mickey H. Osterreicher, general counsel for the National Press Photographers Association, said such rules would be a clear violation of the First Amendment and raises concerns about press freedom, including whether denying a permit would amount to prior restraint.
“What if they deny you a permit because they don’t like the story you’re working on?” he asked.
Oh, Obama’s regime has all sorts of reasons for this new system, but none of them hold water.....

The Most Corrupt Attorney General in American History

The 7 Most Ridiculous Things Eric Holder Has Said and Done

Attorney general has become a controversial title. The nation’s top cop, the attorney general is supposed to take the lead in enforcing federal law. But no attorney general appointed in modern times has become as much of a lightning rod as Eric Holder. Appointed at the beginning of President Obama’s first term, Holder was controversial right from the beginning, and finally he has announced that he’s stepping down. Let’s take an opportunity to remember some of his most truly outrageous moments.

Racial justice in New Haven:
When the New Haven Fire Department announced that it had openings for firefighters, an exam was administered for qualified applicants. A number of test-takers passed, but there was a problem: none of them were African Americans. On this basis, the city of New Haven declared the test results null and void. Outraged, eighteen of the men who passed the test sued the city, demanding that the results be honored.

Attorney General Eric Holder filed a brief in support of the city of New Haven (though also arguing that the case should be remanded to a district court). The Supreme Court ultimately disagreed and ruled in favor of the firefighters. African Americans face real discrimination, but Holder’s decision to intrude into this case was unnecessary and itself supported a discriminatory position.

Behaving like a child:
Congressman Louie Gohmert got the opportunity to cross-examine Holder in 2012 over the Boston Marathon bombings. Gohmert and Holder had a tense exchange that ended with Gohmert bungling his words and declaring, “The attorney general will not cast aspersions on my asparagus!” Fast-forward to 2013 and Gohmert and Holder were going at it again. Holder ended his side of the argument by sneering, “Good luck with your asparagus.”

Yes, the attorney general of the United States of America waited an entire year to come back to the House of Representatives and taunt a sitting congressman over a verbal flub. Our country is truly in the hands of five-year-olds.

Eric doesn’t know, Eric doesn’t know:
Speaking of congressional testimonies, Eric Holder was repeatedly summoned before various committees over the years, usually related to one of the many scandals that plagued his department. Holder usually responded by mimicking a mid-level manager who had just started his job earlier that week, scratching his head and saying he just didn’t know. After one his testimonies before the House Judiciary Committee, the Washington Free Beacon put together a montage of Holder in all his unknowing glory.

Only sitting Cabinet member held in contempt of Congress:
This one mostly speaks for itself. After months of Holder stonewalling over the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal, withholding key documents and staying tight-lipped during testimony, the House GOP had finally had enough. They voted to hold Holder in contempt of Congress, making him the only sitting Cabinet member in American history to achieve that distinct honor.

The effects of this can’t be understated. As a result of the contempt charge, at any point the House could have sent in the sergeant-at-arms to arrest Holder and hold him in prison. They also could have prosecuted him in order to force him to provide the outstanding documents.

Spying on and intimidating journalists:
A good Justice Department should seek to enforce the First Amendment. Not so Eric Holder’s. Thin-skinned and tyrannical, the attorneys under him aggressively seized an enormous number of phone records from the Associated Press regarding their publication of a story about al Qaeda in Yemen. When the scandal broke, Holder assured the House Judiciary Committee that he’d recused himself from the AP incident and had never been involved in the prosecution of a journalist.

Not long after that, it was revealed that Holder had, in fact, gone after a reporter: Fox News’s James Rosen, whose emails the DOJ seized. The agency also speculated, almost casually, that Rosen could have been prosecuted under the Espionage Act for reporting on North Korea—also known as “doing his job.”

“I’m proud to be an activist Attorney General”:
In an August interview with Juan Williams, Holder boldly proclaimed that he was proud to accept the label of “activist attorney general.” He also declared: “Any attorney general who is not an activist is not doing his or her job.”

Later, he defiantly added that critics who say his department includes an “activist civil rights division and this is an activist attorney general — I’d say I agree with you 1,000 percent and [I am] proud of it.”

Drone ‘em at home too — actually, never mind:
You may recall the controversial secret memos drawn up by Judge David Barron, which provided legal justification for the Yemen drone strike that killed American citizens without a trial. This underhanded justification, along with the appointment of CIA Director John Brennan and an alarming letter from Eric Holder, sparked Senator Rand Paul to speak for 13 hours in a filibuster.

“It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States,”
Holder wrote in the letter.

Holder would backtrack on that shortly after the filibuster and ruled out drone use on American soil.

I pray the integrity of the Department of Justice and the Enforcement of American Law becomes a major issue in the coming 2016 Presidential Election.

I Hereby Nominate Mary Landrieu......

Take a good look at this picture. Tell me this woman doesn't know what she's doing. The technique, the hand placement. She obviously knows her stuff.

Louisiana State University is known far and wide for EPIC football game tailgate parties. With a stadium capacity of 101,000 plus (when full is the the 5th largest city in the state) and a state motto of "laissez les bons temps rouler" (let the good times roll) the regularly nationally ranked LSU Tiger's home field of battle lacks one important element to add to the excitement and experience of watching a crushing defeat of an opponent on a Saturday Night in 'Death Valley'.

They don't call Louisiana "Sportsman's Paradise" for nothing, ya know.

Mary Landrieu is obviously a much better tailgater than US Senator, so I call on my fellow citizens of The Great State of Louisiana to help relieve her of the burden of legislative duties and boring committee meetings in Washington and free her up for more important duties in service to her state.

So barring any unforeseen circumstances:

I HEREBY NOMINATE MARY LANDRIEU FOR THE HONORARY OFFICE OF OFFICIAL LSU TAILGATE PARTY HOSTESS AND BEER KEG QUEEN EXTRAORDINAIRE.... FOR LIFE!

Even some weenie elitist media boobs seem to agree.....

Gabby Giffords Doubles Down on Stupid

by Robert Janicki

Almost unbelievably, Gabby Giffords, former congresswoman from Arizona's 2nd Congressional District, has decided to dispense with civility in asserting what she believes is the need for more gun control legislation, since her last effort kicked her in the ass.  Okay, Giffords wasn't being civil when she recently tried to smear GOP congressional candidate Martha McSally as being a contributing part leading to the shooting deaths of two local victims.  Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly tried to support Democrat congressman Ron Barber, who currently holds the seat that Giffords once held before the assassination attempt on her life in Tucson, AZ, January 8, 2011, by smearing McSally by association with two gun related deaths.  It not only didn't work, it backfired on Giffords.

See our previous posting "Gabby Giffords Shoots Self in Foot With Attack Ad"

Fast forward to Giffords' latest stupidity
"On September 23, Salon ran a column explaining that Gabby Giffords tried to play nice in her push for more gun control. Since she failed in that approach, she has now abandoned "civility" in an effort to secure victory. And Salon says that's fine. After all, Giffords "is under no obligation to be a Civility Unicorn....."
And Giffords is also under no obligation to be anything but the dumb ass she and her husband have demonstrated themselves to be over gun control and the 2nd Amendment.  When you can't win on the merits of the argument, baffle 'em with bullshit and smear 'em with the same substance.  Back to Salon's article.
Salon ... citing Jared Loughner's January 2011 Tuscon attack, James Holmes' 2012 aurora theater attack, and Adam Lanza's Sandy Hook Elementary School attack as justification for throwing civility out the door in the pursuit of more background checks.
The outlet (Salon) did not mention that Loughner and Holmes both passed background checks for their guns or that Lanza stole his to get around background checks--so no amount of gun control would have stopped him......"
I'm a gun owner, recreational shooter and a life member of the NRA, CRPA and SASS.  I manage to hit at least four gun shows a year in California.  I have never met a dealer who would sell me a firearm outside of the federal and state laws on background checks.  None of them would touch a situation like that for fear of losing their BATF firearm dealer license and their CA DOJ firearm dealer license.  More gun control legislation will not stop private individuals from selling guns between themselves, even if it is illegal.  It's just an impossibility and that's how criminals get their firearms, through private transactions and theft.
"Ultimately, Giffords' gun control push is a solution in search of problem. And that's why expanded background checks have morphed into a push for closing the "gun show loophole," passing new rules for Internet firearm sales, and passing gun control for women's sake now.
It is also why red state Democrats begged Giffords and Kelly to stay out of their states with November's midterms drawing closer. And the shift from civility that losing has awakened within Giffords presents a double whammy to red state Democrats like Senators Kay Hagan (D-NC), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), and Mark Udall (D-CO), all of whom are either down or very tight in the polls...."
Red state Democrats just want to stay silent on gun control before the November 4th elections.  Meanwhile Giffords and Kelly want to go "ballistic" on civility in their national anti-gun campaign.  I say, "Go for it!", to these two political morons.  Take the gloves off and go crazy pushing more moronic gun control that Americans have clearly indicated in multiple polling, that they oppose.

Giffords and Kelly  can only help the GOP defeat Democrats and that's what we want.

Democrats, Honest Elections and Other Fairy Tales

On Monday, a U.S. District Court in Corpus Christi, Texas heard arguments in a challenge to the Texas Voter ID law that Gov. Rick Perry signed into law in May in an attempt to secure the integrity of the voting process of Texas citizens:
"The right to vote is simply too important for us to take the act of voting lightly," Gov. Perry said. "Today with the signing of this bill, we take a major step forward in securing the integrity of the ballot box and protecting the most cherished right we enjoy as citizens."
SB 14 requires a voter to show as a valid form of photo ID, either a driver's license, Department of Public Safety issued photo personal identification card, U.S. military ID card, U.S. citizenship certificate that contains a photograph, U.S. passport or Texas concealed handgun license. The bill creates a free election identification certificate with a photograph issued by DPS for registered voters who need a photo ID. The bill also increases the penalty for voting illegally to a second degree felony, and increases attempted illegal voting to a state jail felony....."
Okay, what's the problem here? Does it not help prevent voter fraud by dead people and non-citizens? Not acceptable for lefties that need illegal votes to get elected and stay in office. You know, the ones who say there is no voter fraud.

But just like climate change and other issues, the real reasons and arguments are disguised.

*Play Race card*
"Monday the court heard closing arguments in the case that challenges the most militant and vicious vote suppression law in America.
Various groups including The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the Brennan Center for Justice, the NAACP and the Mexican American Legislative Caucus of the Texas House of Representatives were joined by the Department of Justice and private organizations in a consolidation of challenges to this heinous vote suppression law."
Gee Wally, no surprise here....all the usual suspects including the most biased and corrupt Department of Justice in history....
"Opponents of Texas’ vote suppression law pointed to hard evidence that the law will disenfranchise 600,000 Texas voters. Adding insult to injury, taxpayers are paying for this court battle with tax dollars. Some of those taxpayers are the very people Greg Abbott is fighting to disenfranchise.
The statistics reveal:
Blacks and Hispanics are between 1.6 times to 4 times less likely than Whites to have SB 14 ID, and approximately 4% of all registered voters, or approximately 600,000 registered voters, lack SB 14 ID.
While the stats show the adverse effect on racial minorities, that in itself doesn’t prove there was a discriminatory intent behind the law....."
If you are a citizen of the US, and you don't have a driver's license or state issued ID, then you can't cash a check or get most state or federal benefits issued to them. Being poor, black or hispanic is no excuse for not having an ID. You can't do business without one. The law states "a free election identification certificate with a photograph issued by DPS for registered voters who need a photo ID."

The objection to the law by the left is for the propose of loose voter registration and voting , like buying a tickets to a movie, and no other reason.

CASE IN POINT: according to the Registrar of Voters Office of Caddo Parish, State of Louisiana, my friend changed her voter registration from Independent to Democrat on August 12th, 2008.

My friend died of Leukemia on Jan 26, 2005.

If the Obama Administration was a Football Team....

Nutjob RFK is Again Calling For Imprisonment of Climate Skeptics and CEO's

The folks at the Climate Depot have uncovered video where Robert F. Kennedy Junior said he wants to imprison his political opponents, put energy CEOs and the Koch brothers in prison for “treason” and “reckless endangerment.”

As typical of most liberals, silencing the opposition – whether by imprisoning them or shouting them down – is all too common.

This isn’t the first time the vocally-challenged activist has called for sending political opponents to prison. In 2007, he said climate skeptics were “traitors” and should be treated as such and in 2009, he said coal company CEOs should be “in jail for all of eternity.”

Syria Is 7th Country Bombed By Nobel Peace Prize Winner

Afghanistan,Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Iraq and Syria

I saw a car plastered with lefty bumper stickers the other day at the grocery store. There were multiple Obama stickers and multiple stickers with slogans of peace.

At this point doesn’t one remove one or the other?

Smear of Pro-Gun Candidate Backfires

by Robert Janicki
A person is shot and killed by a criminal, who was illegally in possession of a gun.  What happens next?  It's as certain as the sun rising in the east tomorrow, the next day and forevermore.
Liberals will cry out for more gun controls on law abiding gun buyers and owners.  They figuratively wave the bloody shirt of the victim/s and loudly proclaim that all who oppose further gun control are somehow knuckle dragging Neanderthals responsible for a criminal's use of an already illegally acquired gun.  It's the same crap just warmed over every time a gun is used illegally.  Somehow, liberals believe that such ridiculous logic will actually sway people to demand more gun control and they may be right, considering they are appealing to the cognitively challenged, not to mention all the illegally registered voters they have signed up.
Here's the latest liberal smear of a Republican congressional candidate in Arizona that went very badly for liberals.
"On September 17 ... Americans for Responsible Solutions (ARS)--the gun control group founded by Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly--was running an ad attacking GOP Congressional candidate Martha McSally for defending the Second Amendment..." (breitbart)
Guess what tactic Giffords used to attack Martha McSally.  You got it.  Bring out the figurative bloody shirts of the two victims and try to paint McSally as the cause for the victim's death, because McSally doesn't support radical reactionary gun control over law-abiding gun owners.  Here's what happened to Giffords shameless smear of McSally.  Hint: a major backfire and blowback on Giffords.
"On September 19 the Arizona Republic condemned the ad, saying it "waves the bloody shirt" by taking "the tragic death of two innocents" and trying to lay them at McSally's feet. The Republic says the ad's "base and vile" approach is hurting Giffords' image while leaving McSally untouched.
The Republic says the ad is "more than Hardball politics," it's the "[exploitation] of a family's tragedy to score cheap political points...." (breitbart)
The blowback on Giffords and Representative Ron Barber, the Democrat that Giffords supports, could not have been more deserved.  With talent like this, Giffords needs to go out and support more Democrats with her warped view on further gun control and diminishing the 2nd Amendment and the individual's right to own firearms. .
