Joe Biden Takes Flying Lessons

With the country safely in the hands of Barack Obama,
the Vice President takes up a new interest

About That Obama Administration Foreign Policy Track Record....

"The grim reality is that key people in positions to shape our foreign policy during the Obama administration -- the President, the Vice President, two Secretaries of State, and the current Secretary of Defense -- all have a track record of grossly misconceiving the issues, our enemies and our national interest.
This is the administration that is now asking for a blank check from Congress to take unspecified military action to achieve unspecified goals." — Thomas Sowell

to plan strategy to extricate his ass from the box to which his ego put
him in over blustering threats to Syria.

Has Obama's Posturing Backfired??

The administration wants a strike at Dictator Bashar al-Assad for stepping over Obama’s red line. But he doesn't intend to topple Assad or specifically help the rebels, and Comander Zero clearly has cold feet about his previous promises to arm the rebels. If American credibility is on the line in Syria now that Assad has used chemical weapons, the administration is failing to adequately explain any military plan that would leave the dictator in place and with his armed forces largely intact.
Do they, or did they every have a workable plan?

Syria Offers Cooperation in “Symbolic Air Strike”

Assad Says Fire One
MFNS by Barb Weir
After being given plenty of time to move around and hide their weapon stockpiles and prepare, the Assad regime in Syria today offered to cooperate in a “symbolic strike” against itself.

“We understand the need for the U.S. to maintain its prestige and Barack Obama's credibility,” said a Syrian government official, on condition of anonymity, “and if bombing some unused military installation in the middle of nowhere will help save face, we’re willing to help.

The Syrian offer came after the British parliament voted down a Syria strike and U.S. House Majority Leader John Boehner asked President Obama for justification for the military action – an exceedingly rare request. The President responded with an even rarer request for Congressional authorization.

“If the administration is going to wimp out on this,” said an anonymous White House  Spokesman, “it wants to appear to be taking direction from Congress or possibly even the American people, without necessarily making it a habit.” Polls of public opinion and Congress show clear and consistent opposition to a military strike. When asked about the offer, Secretary of State John F. Kerry, on holiday windsurfing, refused comment. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel,  on a golf outing with Vice President Joe Biden at a Washington area miniature golf park was totally unaware of the offer.

The Syrian offer therefore puts the Obama administration in an awkward position. “We appreciate the good intentions of the Syrians,” but we're committed to Congressional approval. Besides, Tomahawk missiles are not cheap. We might want them for something more useful in the future", the W.H. spokesman said.

Google Earth satellite photos today show Syrian Military units painting bulls-eyes on abandon buildings to help in targeting.

The French government, Obama's only allies in this crisis, upon hearing the news of the impending strike, immediately surrendered to the Syrians as not to interfere with any up coming French holiday plans.

Egyptian Newspaper Claims Barack Obama Really is a Brotha

Shadi Hamid, Director of Research at the Brookings Doha Center, sent out two tweets about the Egyptian media depicting Obama as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood yesterday.

This from Shoebat
"Did you catch that part about the “son of MB leader threatened Obama w- release of ‘papers’”? That is an apparent reference to Saad al-Shater, the son of former Muslim Brotherhood presidential candidate, Khairat al-Shater. We direct you to Addendum F of our “Ironclad” report on Egypt’s involvement in the Benghazi attack. Multiple reports from Arabic sources indicated that Saad had said his father had documents that were incredibly damaging to Barack Obama.
A couple of weeks later, Saad was arrested. A Fox News / AP report indicated that one of the reasons for the younger al-Shater’s arrest had to do with Obama:
"It was not immediately clear why police detained el-Shater’s 23-year-old son. Officials only said Wednesday that police had arrested Saad el-Shater and that he had threatened to release documents allegedly showing ties between his father and U.S. President Barack Obama. Officials did not elaborate."
And according to Atlas Shrugs  "Obama hits bottom and keeps digging. His unequivocal support of the vicious Muslim Brotherhood has undermined national security and been an overwhelming destructive force for freedom across the world."
Obama Addresses  Muslim Brotherhood Convention
"President Obama addressed the 50th annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America via videotape, praising the U.S.Muslim Brotherhood entity for its partnership with his administration. A Clarion Project report showed that the convention’s roster of speakers includes many extremists."
This ought to make you feel all warm and fuzzy...

The Gamble

For a man who is often so Hamlet-like he seems he should be attending meetings in a black velvet doublet and whose Syria policy in particular seems to have been defined primarily by actions not taken and decisions not made, Barack Obama made one of the most profound and momentous decisions of his presidency on Saturday.
By announcing that he would require congressional approval before taking action against Syria's regime for gassing its own people, he took a step that seemed certain to have multiple, potentially profound ramifications. Here are just five:

Now I Know Where the Inspiration for a Flip Cap on the Ketchup Bottles Came From.....

Secretary of State / Earl of Ketchup
John Kerry in 2004: George Bush is bad because he rushed to war without letting UN Inspectors finish their jobs and he was wrong for striking Iraq without a broad and deep coalition of allies joining the action!!

John Kerry in 2013: Barack Obama is awesome and doesn't need to wait for UN inspectors to finish their job in Syria because their investigation "can’t tell us anything . . . that we don’t already know" and Obama is displaying unique and strong leadership by striking Syria with no international coalition because it “will ensure that the United States of America makes our own decisions on our own timelines based on our values and our interests,” unconstrained by other countries’ opinions.

MSNBC Report: Obama Attacks Syria!

by Bargis Tryhol
MSNBC reports the first salvo of cruise missles have been fired toward Syria in the opening round of reprisals for last week’s suspected chemical attack against the civilians. The Obama Administration has placed the blame on the Assad regime in Damascus. The limited engagement or as some are calling a ‘Shake ‘n Bake’ attack in the sense that the President promised a wrist-slapping ‘narrow attack’ which will cause minimal damage but hopefully send a meassage to regime leaders that future attacks targeting civilains will not be tolerated.
Aboard the USS Buggerall, a guided missle destroyer stationed in the Red Sea, sailors strapped the President onto a Predator drone, wearing his bicycle helmet, along with a hand held camera linked to an overhead satellite. The bright white drone had the Obama campaign symbol hastily painted on the side along with personal scripts from sailors onboard who wrote messages to the Syrians much like military men have done in past wars on bombs and missles about to be delivered to the enemy….’have a nice trip’…’You keep him!’… ‘Now this is diversity!’…’Free EBT card aboard’…’Blame Bush’…’Next week it’s Jumpin’ Joe!’
At precisely 1600 hours the President left the Buggerall on a rush of crimson flame heading toward a target in Damascus. Vice President Biden was onboard the ship to offer support and trade a few knock-knock jokes with the crew.
