Defense Department Denies Veterans Group a Permit for Memorial Day Event

The American Veterans (AMVETS) organization has been meeting at the Pentagon as a rallying point/parking area for their Rolling to Remember motorcycle event on Memorial Day for the past 32 years.  But not this year.  The Pentagon has released a statement denying them a permit, claiming it was due to Covid restrictions.

AmVets is in charge of the event and are a Congressionally-chartered veterans service organization, representing the interests of 20 million veterans.

The Pentagon's denial comes on the heels of the Smithsonian announcing last week that it will reopen eight of its facilities to the public in May, starting with the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly on Wednesday, May 5.  Additional museums will open this coming Friday, the United States Holocaust Museum announced that it plans to reopen on Monday, May 17, and the National Zoo on May 21. 

So just to make clear, they’re denying veterans the right to assemble in a parking lot, outside, during the day, where they’ve gathered for 32 years.

Least we forget, Joe Biden just held a photo op / political rally outside in Georgia. Can someone explain to me the difference? Why is that event just cool with the Biden, yet this one isn’t? Are they trying to say that the veterans who protected our country aren’t responsible or aren’t worth as much respect as a Biden political rally?

It was up to the Los Angeles Rams and their boy genius coach Sean McVay to take out the Patriots and deliver the Vince Lombardi Trophy to California for the first time since the pre-Kaepernick version of the San Francisco 49ers. McVay and his erratic QB Goff’s failure to show up may have resulted in the worst Super Bowl in history which is apropos given the onslaught of virtue-signaling multi-million dollar advertisements that rubbed the “values” of Silicon Valley liberals and snooty celebs into the faces of fans.

But it also prevented the Rams’ snubbing of President Trump’s White House invitation had they won the game. Last week, the smug McVay tipped everyone off that the Rams would make an anti-Trump statement along the lines of what the Philadelphia Eagles did last year. You can bet most of the Patriots won’t dishonor America by snubbing Trump’s White House invite while the Rams and their “genius” coach will have the entire offseason to suck on their thumbs.

POTUS: It's Worse Than a Swamp......It's a Sewer

The President took to the Twitter this morning and updated his rallying call to “Drain the Swamp” to replace swamp with sewer, a more apropos description of rotten to the core, Imperial Washington that an outsider like Trump just couldn’t understand until he was in it. Now that he has been living there for nearly seven months, the POTUS has a better understanding of what he’s dealing with and he is absolutely correct – it’s a sewer teeming with snakes, rats, and turds.

Trump also took a shot at one of the biggest turds in the sewer, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. 

"After 1 year of investigation with Zero evidence being found, Chuck Schumer just stated that "Democrats should blame ourselves, not Russia."

The events of the this week in particular make it a mind grabbing story, but my suspensions were raised as to the method the information you're about to read was accessed. "The possible existence of a subversive American “Deep State” has captivated the attention of political observers and supporters of President Trump for months, and for the first time, evidence has allegedly surfaced that casts a light on the shadowy operations of a group many claim is working to bring down the Presidency. This information comes as President Trump is battling his worst week in Washington so far. In the past seven days, a constant stream of leaks and unsourced stories have sent the Trump White House into a tail-spin, and calls for his impeachment have grown.

On Wednesday night, just hours after the Dept. of Justice appointed a Special Prosecutor to handle the Trump/Russia probe, a series of screenshots began spreading around the Dark Web, a colloquial term for the portion of the Internet that is unlisted in search engines and requires special encrypted software to access. The Dark Web is known as the “Internet home” to those who wish to communicate anonymously and hacker groups like Anonymous.

An unidentified user going by “FreshCamel” posted on several Dark Web message boards Wednesday evening asking other users to help him make sense of communications he had intercepted on a messaging platform called Gliph, a secure messaging service that uses end-to-end encryption to prevent communications from being tracked back to those who sent them. This individual did not provide much context regarding the source of these communications, but American users quickly put the pieces together.

On initial inspection, the screenshots, which are printed in their entirety below, appear to be taken from a short, highly-coded conversation held between approximately 5 individuals in the United States intelligence community on Wednesday, May 17th from 2:31 pm to 3:15 pm.

Third Estate Newsgroup’s Contributing Editor Micah Bull worked to make contact with “FreshCamel” late Wednesday night via an encrypted email service, and this individual confirmed that he had accessed the personal computer of an employee at the FBI sometime around April 24th. This access had been obtained through a falsified “phishing” email that installed spyware on this employee’s computer when opened. “FreshCamel” declined to identify this individual for the time being, but confirmed that he or she is a higher-level employee in the Bureau. 

According to “FreshCamel,” this individual’s computer is used to join a secured chat channel on Gliph approximately four times per week for exactly 45 minutes each session. Activity has increased in recent days, “FreshCamel” confirmed. For weeks, “FreshCamel” casually monitored these chats without realizing what they were, but when a topic of discussion in Wednesday’s chat became a major news story in the United States just hours after the chat was closed, he decided to seek help.

These screenshots (shown below) show a 45 minute chat on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 17. From 2:31 pm to 3:15 pm, 5 separate users sent a total of 20 messages. “FreshCamel” confirmed that there were a total of 13 users “present” in the chat room, but the users known as “Severus,” “Roger,” “Huck,” “Juules,” and “Dooku” are those who consistently speak the most in these daily chats.

The chat begins with mention of “RR” and Mueller, hours before Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced that former FBI Director Robert Mueller would be named as the Special Prosecutor handling the probe into the Trump campaign’s communications with Russia. The users admit that the news will “blindside” the White House.

Then, the topic of conversation turns to an individual referred to as “MF” and whether or not these users should work to “put [him] back in the news.” They eventually agree that an individual known as “S” will work to draft a “memo” somehow connecting “MF” to Turkey and the user known as “Huck” will use a secured connection with their “friends in New York.”

On Thursday, a major story broke that former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had accepted money from the Turkish government and then intervened on their behalf in U.S. military operations. Flynn and Trump associates have denied these reports, but Flynn remains the subject of an ongoing FBI investigation.

DC -The Washington Post accused President Donald Trump of leaking “highly-classified information” in a recent meeting with Russian officials, but the only named source in the piece denies it.

Citing anonymous officials, the Post claims that Trump revealed to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak unspecified yet high-value information provided by a unidentified partner in the fight against the Islamic State, potentially jeopardizing operations against ISIS and compromising U.S. intelligence sources. The president reportedly revealed information surrounding an ISIS plot.

White House National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, the only identified source in WaPo’s report, denies that the president leaked information the U.S. government deemed classified. McMaster, who participated in the meeting, told the Post.

“At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed, and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly."

Some have noted that McMaster’s language is intentionally vague and doesn’t indicate an outright denial that classified information was disclosed.While it is possible that Trump either intentionally or unintentionally shared classified information, the relevant WaPo report appears to cite indirect sources, such as “an official with knowledge of the meeting” or “former officials.”

Among The Washington Post’s revelations, the paper explained that it “is withholding most plot details, including the name of the city, at the urging of officials who warned that revealing them would jeopardize important intelligence capabilities.” If the story is true, this statement indicates that U.S. officials may have leaked classified information to the Post — the exact same information they claim Trump put the nation at risk by revealing.

The Press Destroyed Alberto Gonzales, Why Not Try With Jeff Sessions?

This may be the most absurdly over-reported news of the week, courtesy of the anti-Republican Associated Press:  "Attorney general seeks resignations of 46 US attorneys." This was a breaking news story on newspaper sites across the country, and the talking heads on cable news came close to peeing themselves.  

Of course the administration is asking the prior administration's U.S. Attorneys to resign. U.S Attorneys are political appointees who serve at the pleasure of the president, just like the Secretary of State or the head of the EPA. Every president installs his own U.S. attorneys, who will carry out policy in line with the priorities of his Attorney General. Why do you think Attorney General Sessions is only calling for the resignation of 46? Because the other 47 have already quit. Presidents sometimes keep U.S. Attorneys appointed by a predecessor in place. But in every administration, the large majority are replaced. 

This is not a news story of any significance. But it is exactly how the Associated Press and other news outlets destroyed Alberto Gonzales, Attorney General under George Bush. Gonzales replaced eight U.S. Attorneys–all of them Bush appointees–and Chuck Schumer incited the press to carry on as though it were some kind of scandal. The whole thing was absurd, but hysteria brought on by a united front of liberal news media destroyed Gonzales’s career.

So the AP figures, why not try again? It's article acknowledges that U.S. Attorneys are political appointees whose resignation is routine, and yet gives the last word to a Democratic Party operative: 

“I think it’s very unprofessional and I’m very disappointed. What happened today on Friday, March 10, that was so important that all Obama appointees who are US attorneys need to be gone? I gotta write that (resignation) letter. It’s going to be a one-liner." 

An absurd finish to a silly news article. Nothing happened “today, on March 10.” Something happened last November 8, when Donald Trump was elected president. Like prior presidents, he is installing his own nominees as U.S. Attorneys. The AP reporter understands this, but deliberately tries to mislead readers of his story, which will appeared in hundreds of newspapers.  

When forced resignations are involved within The State or Justice Departments, today it's just called "Draining The Swamp."

Calls Out Hollywood Hypocrites

Actor and Singer Robert Davi (if you like Frank Sinatra, check this guy's music out) has issued a challenge to his brother's and sisters of the entertainment industry.  In an open letter, Davi challenges Hollywood hypocrites to put your money where your mouth is.  Davi's letter comes following a string of political statements made by celebrities at award shows.

I ask all migrants, all illegal immigrant criminals and all un-vetted refugees to converge on Hollywood to come to the Oscars and all the after-parties, even those held at the mansions or the Chateau Marmont or anywhere else. After all, we in the Hollywood community want to show all Islamic extremists that we have love in our hearts — and what better way to do that than by inviting them along on our most important night?

 It’s time the walls and electronic security gates come down. There are roughly 3,600 seats to the Oscars; we should have at least 2,500 seats reserved for illegal aliens, refugees and migrants, or maybe even more. For those celebrities skipping the ceremony, each should invite at least 100 illegal aliens, refugees or migrants to come to their home to watch the Oscars with them. Founding Fathers No Longer Worthy Of School Names??

Best-selling historian David Barton is blasting a proposal by the head of the San Francisco Board of Education which would ban schools from being named after George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other Founding Fathers and American leaders who owned slaves.

Barton, author of “The Jefferson Lies: Exposing the Myths You’ve Always Believed About Thomas Jefferson,” called it a “misguided effort based on bad history.” Barton pointed out African-American leaders of the past often praised both Presidents Washington and Jefferson, who both recognized human slavery was an evil needing to be dealt with, as champions of the beginning civil rights for blacks.

“It is striking when you look at the people who looked to Washington and Jefferson as inspirations. For example, Dr. Martin Luther King praised Jefferson, as did Frederick Douglass, Henry Highland Garnett, Benjamin Banneker and many other African Americans who were the premier civil rights leaders in their generation. The difference between today’s generation and previous ones is that Americans today by and large no longer know American history based on historical fact. Instead, they are simply taught a version of it based on progressive political agendas.”

It’s to combat this kind of phony history Barton says he wrote “The Jefferson Lies,” which details the many ways Jefferson’s memory has been manipulated and misused by left-wing activists. The book was a New York Times bestseller when it was first published in 2012 until a coordinated pressure campaign against the publisher won an unprecedented victory by having the book withdrawn from circulation.

Barton has since put out a new expanded edition in which Barton specifically rebuts his critics charge by charge.

"Both Washington and Jefferson openly advocated for the end of slavery and led legislative efforts to achieve that objective. As presidents, both actively introduced, supported, and even signed major measures that sought to end slavery in America and ensure that equal racial civil rights were achieved. It is unfortunate that both of those great leaders lived in the state of Virginia, which by state law would not permit them to free their own slaves as they wished. Nevertheless, they both worked to achieve for others what they could not achieve for themselves, and that’s why previous generations of African Americans openly praised and heralded them.”

As long as factually inaccurate and political agendy driven portrayals of history continue to dominate America’s history textbooks and classrooms, errant proposals like this one will continue to be offered.  This is just more non-sense from anti- American, self-loathing white leftist academics and Afro-centric anti-Western scholars.

The Bizarre Media Blackout Of Hacked George Soros Documents

The mainstream press continues to ignored the leak of thousands of eye-opening documents that expose the Billionaire Puppetmaster's far-flung devious efforts to push his leftist views in the U.S. and abroad. 

IBD- Leaked documents released a few days ago provide juicy insider details of how a fabulously rich businessman has been using his money to influence elections in Europe, underwrite an extremist group, target U.S. citizens who disagreed with him, dictate foreign policy, and try to sway a Supreme Court ruling, among other things. Pretty compelling stuff, right? Not if it involves leftist billionaire George Soros. In this case, the mainstream press couldn't care less.

Saturday,more than 2,500 documents going back to 2008 that it pilfered from Soros' Open Society Foundations' servers and leaked to the Internet. The mainstream media have shown zero interest in this gold mine of information.

The leaked documents show how Soros' far-flung international organizations attempted to manipulate Europe's 2014 elections. The "List of European Elections 2014 Projects" details over 90 Soros efforts he had under way that year.

The documents reveal that Soros has poured nearly $4 million into anti-Israel groups, with a goal of "challenging Israel's racist and anti-democratic policies." Here at home, they show that Soros proposed paying the Center for American Politics $200,000 to conduct a smear campaign against conservative activists.

Recently an October 2015 document came to light showing that Soros' Open Society U.S. Programs had donated $650,000 to "invest in technical assistance and support for the groups at the core of the burgeoning #BlackLivesMatter movement." Since then, several BLM protests have turned violent. That same document details how this group successfully used its "extensive networks" to pressure the Obama administration into increasing the number of refugees it would take to 100,000, despite concerns that Islamic terrorists could use the refugee program to infiltrate the U.S.

A separate memo details how Soros tried to use his clout to sway Supreme Court justices into approving President Obama's unilateral effort to rewrite immigration law. This year alone, Soros has given $7 million to the Clinton-supporting Priorities USA super-PAC, and a total of $25 million to support Democrats and their causes.

Anyone with this much power and influence demands close media scrutiny. Particularly when he has extremely close ties to the would-be next president of the United States.

Scientists Who Are Actually Really Stupid: #1, Neil deGrasse Tyson

Someone needs to remind Neil deGrasse Tyson that 
Star Wars is a piece of space fantasy

Neil deGrasse Tyson made the decision a long time ago to be a sort of media cheerleader for science instead of an actual scientist, and although he isn’t a great communicator, it was the right decision because he was unlikely ever to trouble the Nobel committee. Also, he is stupid and his politics are dumb.

Tyson, whom liberals love because they are racists who can’t believe a black guy could be smart enough to be a scientist and so spontaneously ejaculate and soil themselves every time they see him on TV, hasn’t published anything of note for years. The advantage of being a celebrity scientist is that you don’t actually have to do any science. You’re exempted from the usual “publish or perish” rules. 

Even when he was making a go of being a proper academic, Tyson didn’t exactly have the most glittering record. He didn’t get the PhD he was studying for at the University of Texas and had to go elsewhere for his qualification. Obviously, rather than take responsibility for his academic performance, Tyson has blamed racism. In reality, Tyson was playing in bands and appearing on stage instead of completing essays. Typical science PhD students are at any given time either studying, teaching or sleeping.

It’s tough to avoid the conclusion that much of what is frustrating about Neil deGrasse Tyson stems from identity politics and the victimhood ideology peddled by leftist academics and journalists. Despite all his media success, Tyson insists that racism is responsible for his academic failures, alluding to sinister “forces” that keep women and ethnic minorities down.

In 2005, he said: “I know these forces are real and I had to survive them in order to get where I am today. So before we start talking about genetic differences, you gotta come up with a system where there’s equal opportunity.” He of course doesn’t address the fact that the only reason Neil deGrasse Tyson is on television at all, given his intellectual shortcomings, is that he is black.

Social justice-inspired grievance culture has flavoured much of Tyson’s output during his media career. Indeed, some observers say he’s more left-wing propagandist than rigorous thinker these days. His reboot of Cosmos, for instance, was saturated with progressive garbage designed to appeal to liberal-minded students and lefty geeks.

Obama Dems No Longer Have Reason for Optimism

Barack dragged scowling Medusa back from another weeks long vacation this weekend. Hillary Clinton is also on vacation. The only one on stage, with a sense of urgency, during the Black Monday meltdown is Donald Trump.

Monday morning, before the stock markets on Wall Street opened, there was Donald Trump on TV speaking with urgency about the economic plight of the American People. Trump denounced hedge fund managers and added to his years long warnings about China. Yes, you read that right. Billionaire Donald Trump denounced hedge fund managers as parasites who unlike him built nothing.

Hillary? Obama? Biden? MIA.

In the first half hour of opening the markets spectacularly followed up the 350 point loss from Thursday and the 530 point loss from Friday. At one point the plunge was over 1,000 points and after violent ups and downs the market closed 588 points lower. 

The big losers were not to be found on Wall Street however. The big losers today are Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. Once again, Donald Trump is the winner of the entire week.

Anyone or anything associated with Barack Obama is today’s big loser, again. The Obama economy and the stink of Barack Obama will knock out any presidential candidate who defends Barack Obama economic policy in any way. The Associated Press decorates the funeral parlor:

AP survey: Dimmer outlook for US economy, wages and hiring. 

For much of the economy’s fitful and sluggish six-year recovery from the Great Recession, analysts have foreseen a sunnier future: Growth would pick up in six months, or in a year.

That was then.

The latest Associated Press survey of leading economists shows that most now foresee a weaker expansion than they had earlier. A majority of the nearly three dozen who responded to the survey predict tepid economic growth, weak pay gains and modest hiring for the next two years at least.

“We no longer have reason for optimism that the economy is going to accelerate,” said Mike Englund, chief economist at Action Economics. “The real question is, when is the next downturn coming?” 

The “next two years,” no “reason for optimism,” “when is the next downturn coming?” is a frightening place for a presidential candidate who wants to be an Obama “third term” or even associated with Obama the boob.

Do you remember President Obama's promise to put a million hybrid and/or electric cars on U.S. highways by the end of second term in office?  Well, there seems to be a major hitch in that plan.  It's failing miserably.  Obama is behind 800, 000 hybrid and/or electric vehicles and the market for these vehicles is declining precipitously.

The auto-research group Edmunds.com found that “22 percent of people who have traded in their hybrids and [electric vehicles] in 2015 bought a new SUV.”

This number is higher than the 18.8 percent that did the same last year, but it’s double the number that traded in their electric car for an SUV just three years ago. Edmunds.com reports that only “45 percent of this year’s hybrid and EV trade-ins have gone toward the purchase of another alternative fuel vehicle, down from just over 60 percent in 2012. Never before have loyalty rates for alt-fuel vehicles fallen below 50 percent." 

You don't have to be an economist with a Ph.d. to understand the cause of this phenomenon.  As the price of gasoline has dropped significantly, so has the financial motivation to buy hybrid or electric vehicles that promise lower operating costs relative to the higher previous price for gasoline.  The fact that alternative fuel costs and electrical prices have risen, only adds to the disincentive to buy a hybrid or electric car.
If that isn't enough disincentive, here's the deal breaker for those who really look to the future of electric vehicles.

On Earth Day, Remember Who Pollutes the Most....

ACC - There is no bigger polluter than government. And the greatest environmental disasters of the last century are all pretty much either directly as a result of government action or knock on effects of government action. Yet so many environmentalists continue to worship the state and it's big government regulatory powers. The greenies really need a wake-up call.

The US federal government is one of the largest, if not the largest, polluter on the planet. This pollution comes both directly, with government agencies directly harming environmental quality, and indirectly, with pollution-inducing policy. The US federal government has a long and often tragic history when it comes to environmental stewardship. 

This is partly because much of the environmental bureaucracy is almost wholly beyond the control of politicians and the general public. A case in point is the Department of the Interior, an agency designed to manage federal lands, which has provoked regular environmental scandals for more than 100 years. The agency has long been protected by little other the fact that it appears to be one of the most dull, uninteresting parts of the federal bureaucracy. Reforming the Interior Department is not an issue that a politician can easily campaign on. If anything, disrupting the many vested interests could cost more votes than it wins.

Or take the Army Corps of Engineers. The Corps, best known for its engineering projects such as levees and dams along rivers, and maintaining the nation’s harbors, has done more to destroy sensitive habitats than nearly any group, public or private, in the nation’s history. It has destroyed innumerable wetland areas in the name of channeling rivers like the Mississippi.  

Both direct damage and policy failures show that the federal government is no environmental angel. If anything, its misguided work can do more harm than good. That is not saying that private actors do not pollute, but at a minimum they are held accountable for the damage they cause. This rarely happens when the the federal government is at fault.

FEMA: Deny Global Warming, No Money For You!

There’s one way to ensure that everyone buys into the man-made global warming hoax: extortion. Starting next year the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will stop funds from going to states that refuse to believe that humans are causing climate change.

This news comes straight from the leftist eco-nuts at Inside Climate News, so you can be assured that it isn’t a “paranoid” conservative interpretation of an innocuous FEMA regulation:

"Beginning next year, governors that want the many millions in disaster preparedness funding from FEMA will have to sign off on plans acknowledging the climate change risks to their communities. The policy could put some Republicans governors who deny or question climate change, such as Louisiana's Bobby Jindal in a bind. Louisiana is the nation's biggest recipient of FEMA funds, having received more than $1 billion between 2010 and 2014.

This may put several Republican governors who maintain the earth isn't warming due to human activities, or prefer to do nothing about it, into a political bind. Their position may block their states' access to hundreds of millions of dollars in FEMA funds. Over the past five years, the agency has awarded an average $1 billion a year in grants to states and territories for taking steps to mitigate the effects of disasters.

"If a state has a climate denier governor that doesn't want to accept a plan, that would risk mitigation work not getting done because of politics," said Becky Hammer, an attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council's water program. "The governor would be increasing the risk to citizens in that state" because of his climate beliefs.

Among those who could face a difficult decision are Republican Governors Rick Scott of Florida, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Chris Christie of New Jersey, Greg Abbott of Texas and Pat McCrory of North Carolina—all of whom have denied man-made climate change or refused to take action. 

Environmentalists have been pressing FEMA to include global warming in its hazard mitigation guidelines for almost three years. FEMA told the Natural Resources Defense Council in early 2014 that it would revise the guidelines. It issued draft rules last October and officially released the new procedures last week as partisan politics around climate change have been intensifying." 

Sounds pretty fascist to me. If you have the truth on your side, you do not need to force people to believe it. Only liars and charlatans resort to bullying tactics like this.
