Former Staffer: Obama and Biden "Financially Illiterate"...

by Matthew N.
The Lunatic Asylum

No shit? Just figuring that out, huh?
Next year, assuming the Mayans were wrong about Armageddon, is going to be a blast for those of us who like to read. I have no doubt that there’s fifty “Obama Insider” books already written, and ready to go, all dripping with the truth about President Marriott-Suites, his Deputy Dog of a Vice President, and the gift that keeps on giving, Our Esteemed Secretary of State, the Old Crusty Pantsuit, herself.

And every last one of them holds out the possibility of containing completely original, never-before-spoken-of examples of legendary stupidity that will, in all likelihood, shock the ever-loving shit out of every last one of us. Not because it will be unbelievable, but because we’ll finally know just how close we came to becoming a fascist dictatorship run by complete doofuses.

Think Mussolini with Down’s Syndrome.

The article is basically a rehash of some disillusioned-and-selfish dickhead’s disappointments with Biden, but it’s a weather vane, of sorts, for the kind of shit we’re likely to be seeing on bookshelves really soon. The theme is that “While I may be a complete asshole, Joe Biden is a bigger one, and here’s why….”

Make sure your Kindle is charged up, folks.

Sandy Forces Obama to Shift Lying to Other States

WashingtonHurricane Sandy has forced the Obama campaign to move its lying efforts from states in the path of the storm to others beyond the hurricanes reach.
Starting today, the President's campaign began reallocating lies originally intended for Virginia to other swing states such as Ohio and Wisconsin, the campaign confirmed today.

“An emergency situation like this really tests how good your ground game is,” said Obama adviser David Axelrod. “Fortunately, we have liars in all fifty seven states.”

But even as the Obama campaign expressed outward confidence about its ability to maintain an uninterrupted flow of whoppers, some Democrats privately feared that a major power outage could disrupt its ability to lie, distort, and exaggerate in the crucial days ahead.

“If MSNBC or CNN gets knocked off the air in some of these states, we’re certainly going to be down a quart in terms of falsehoods,” one insider said.

But according to Vice-Presidential Joe Biden, who has been central to the campaign’s lying efforts, the severe weather is a challenge that “separates the men from the boys.”

“They’re expecting winds of up to seventy miles per hour,”  Biden told reporters. “Fortunately, I can run eighty miles per hour.”

Bin Laden Peels Off a Few Bucks for the Obama Campaign

No block to foreign money – not even from dead terrorists.....

WND – Using a Pakistani Internet Protocol and proxy server, a disposable credit card and a fake address, “Osama bin Laden” has successfully donated twice to Barack Obama’s presidential re-election campaign.

The “Bin Laden” donations, actually made by WND staff, included a listed occupation of “deceased terror chief” and a stated employer of “al-Qaida.”

“Bin Laden” is currently set up on the official campaign website to contribute more to Obama’s campaign. The name is also registered as a volunteer. Since the “foreign” contribution was sent, “Bin Laden’s” email address has received several solicitations from Obama’s campaign asking for more donations.

The apparently foreign-based contributions were conducted as a test after a flurry of media reports described the ability of foreigners to donate to the Obama campaign but not to Mitt Romney’s site, which has placed safeguards against such efforts.

The acceptance of foreign contributions is strictly illegal under U.S. campaign finance law.

One $15 donation was made at BarackObama.com using a confirmed Pakistani IP address and proxy server. In other words, as far as the campaign website was concerned, the donation was openly identified electronically as coming from Pakistan.

Upon clicking the “donate” button, WND staff selected the $15 amount and were taken to a page on the campaign website asking for a first and last name, city, state, zip code, email address and phone number.

The information submitted was: “Osama bin Laden, 911 Jihad Way, Abbottabad, CA 91101.”

While the website only has options for U.S. states and zip codes, there is no mechanism in place on Obama’s website to verify the individual is actually located in that state or zip code, or even in the U.S.

The Obama campaign refuses to release the identification of donors who give less than $200

In the case of this donation, the 91101 zip code is real but corresponds to Pasadena, Calif., and not Abbottabad, the Pakistani city in which bin Laden was found holed up in a compound.

For a requested phone number, WND inputted the White House information line of (202) 456-2121. The email address used to set up the donation account was osama4obama2012@gmail.com.

After clicking “next,” the website asked for an employer, occupation and a password to set up future donations. WND staff entered the occupation as “deceased terror chief” and the employer as “al-Qaida.”

The transaction was made last Friday with the use of a disposable credit card. The website did not require the card’s security code.

The Media and Mormonism, on the Eve of the Election

Human Events
"At the end of August, Ed Klein, author of The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House, wrote an editorial for Fox News in which he described a meeting headed by Obama’s campaign manager, David Axelrod. “According to my sources inside the campaign, Axelrod & Co. discussed what might be called the nuclear option: unleashing an attack on Romney’s Mormon faith via the mainstream media,” Klein wrote. The primary strategic goal would be turning evangelical voters, a key element of George Bush’s winning 2004 coalition, away from Romney.
Klein’s sources told him Axelrod was considering this risky strategy because the polls were closing in Wisconsin, Florida, Colorado, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Seven weeks after Klein wrote his editorial, most of those states have indeed become very tight, and there are polls showing Romney ahead in most of them.
There has been sporadic media interest in Mormonism throughout the campaign, ever since Mitt Romney became the likely Republican nominee. Quite a few stories were popping right around the time Klein wrote, and he listed some of them in his piece, from GQ Magazine and hyperventilating MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell (currently a minor sideshow attraction for challenging Romney’s son Tagg to a fistfight) launching high-octane tirades, to more respectable media outlets producing lengthy “special reports,” of the type they would never dream of directing at Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s Church of Racial Hatred."

Obama’s Aura Of Defeat

Well I’ve found my favorite paragraph of last week, in The New York Times of all places (granted it’s on one of their blogs), penned by Ross Douthat.
"Losing campaigns have a certain feel to them: They go negative hard, try out new messaging very late in the game, hype issues that only their core supporters are focused on, and try to turn non-gaffes and minor slip-ups by their opponents into massive, election-turning scandals. Think of John McCain’s desperate hope that elevating Joe the Plumber would change the shape of the 2008 race, and you have the template for how tin-eared and desperate a losing presidential campaign often sounds — and ever since the first debate cost Obama his air of inevitability, he and his surrogates have sounded more like McCain did with Joe the Plumber than like a typical incumbent president on his way to re-election. A winning presidential campaign would not normally be hyping non-issues like Big Bird and “binders full of women” in its quest for a closing argument, or rolling out a new spin on its second-term agenda with just two weeks left in the race, or pushing so many advertising chips into dishonest attacks on its rival’s position on abortion. A winning presidential campaign would typically be talking about the issues that voters cite as most important — jobs, the economy, the deficit — rather than trying to bring up Planned Parenthood and PBS at every opportunity. A winning presidential campaign would not typically have coined the term “Romnesia,” let alone worked it into their candidate’s speeches......"

An Undecided Diogenes Reader Attempts a Decision on Voting

Undecided Lars Abdul Mendoza III
Like many Americans, I have had a difficult time deciding which candidate to support in the  Presidential election. In my view, both candidates bring little to the table and are members of political parties that have contributed to the country’s current sad state of affairs.

Some thought Obama the Jesus we never asked for, even if he was a Kenyan, socialist, abortion loving Baptist Muslim communist. Hell, Jesus was a liberal anyway. And Romney strapped a horse to the roof of his dog’s tax returns. Who does that?

At face value, I simply can’t distinguish between the two. With this in mind, I have instead come up with a formula to help aid in my decision, and hopefully yours. Using complex mathematic algorithms and advanced scientific theories, it is possible for a voter to make an informed, confident choice when deciding who to support for president by simply applying a point system to each candidate. Following are an example of my system:

Has experience running various businesses: +1 Romney
Liquidated many of those businesses: -1 Romney

Looks athletic enough to run a marathon +1 Obama
…but smokes: -1 Obama

Mormons believe some weird-ass stuff: – 1 Romney
The Broadway show “Book of Mormon” won nine Tony awards: +1 Romney

Is a big fan of Chicago sports: +1 Obama
…but his favorite team is the White Sox: -1 Obama

Appreciates a good beer: +1 Obama
Doesn’t drink…ever: -2 Romney

The last four years: -1 Obama
The eight years before that: -1 Romney

His presidency broke through long-standing racial barriers: +1 Obama

Has endorsements of Hugo Chavez, Vladimir Putin, Cher

and most of the mainstream media: -3 Obama

Endorsed by Donald Trump: -2 Romney

Joe Biden: -3 Obama

So, tallying up the up the points leaves us at:

-5 Romney, -5 Obama…a tie. DAMN!

Was it Valerie Jarrett Again?

"No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. ” - CIA Director David Petraeus
"So who in the government did tell “anybody” not to help those in need? Someone decided not to send in military assets to help those Agency operators. Would the secretary of defense make such a decision on his own? No."
"It would have been a presidential decision. There was presumably a rationale for such a decision. What was it? When and why—and based on whose counsel obtained in what meetings or conversations—did President Obama decide against sending in military assets to help the Americans in need?"- The Weekly Standard
[SNIP]
Could it have been the same Rasputin Jarrett who convinced the Child Emperor to delay taking the Bin Laden shot. Hmmmm?

Did Obama himself denied extra security to Embassy

Bookworm

How reliable is Edward Klein? I don’t know. I don’t believe anyone challenged the facts in his book The Amateur, even if they disagreed with their import. One thing that was immediately clear from reading The Amateur was that Klein got a lot of his information from Hillary Clinton’s camp. Klein’s reliability is very important today, because he now claims that he’s gotten some new information from the Hillary camp, and this information, if true, is staggering in its implications: lawyers close to Hillary claim that Hillary asked for more security in Benghazi and that the Obama White House denied that request.

According to Klein’s sources, Hillary has been keeping mum about this to stay loyal to the Democrat party, while Bill has been urging her to go public with the information to save her reputation. Here’s what I think happened:

Events played out exactly as Hillary’s leakers claim. Hillary was silent about the White House’s culpability when it still looked as if Obama could win, because she needed to be on Obama’s good side in the event he won the election. Now that Obama has the stale smell of failure about him, two things have happened. First, Hillary doesn’t believe that Obama’s coat tails will be very useful. And second, the Democrats are launching a preemptive strike against Bill Clinton, claiming that it was his bad advice that led to Obama’s disastrous campaign decisions.

The Obama administration won’t be the first to learn that you don’t mess with Bill Clinton, especially if there’s nothing in it for Bill. And so the leaks begin. This way, Hillary still looks loyal, but Bill gets to destroy someone who is trying to destroy him. Even if it’s not war in the Middle East, there’s going to be a war in Washington, D.C.

This leaked report also makes sense from both a military and a security standpoint, as Wolf Howling explains:

"Why should we believe this might be true? I have enough experience in the military and with providing security with weapons loaded to know that the people administratively charged with making decisions on security would not possibly have denied the requests absent a policy decision made at a much higher level. And indeed, I cannot see any career employee in the chain of command denying a request for more security in Benghazi, given the availability of assets and all that was known about the deteriorating situation. In other words, I would bet my last dollar that the decision to deny more security was made pursuant to a policy decision in the political chain of command – and that means Clinton and / or Obama. And if there is any truth to the story above, then that person was Obama."

(You can, and should, read the rest of Wolf Howling’s analysis here.)

How The GM Bailout Turned Into Foreign Aid

LFR

Before the bailout of General Motors, it was well understood that the world’s largest automaker was losing huge amounts of money in the US and was staying afloat thanks to stronger performance in overseas markets. Since the bailout, however, that dynamic has been turned on its head. Thanks to a leaner manufacturing footprint, debt eliminations and steadily recovering sales, GM’s US operations have generated the lion’s share of the company’s profit since the bailout. And now, as the rest of the world economy slows, GM is spending more and more of its taxpayer-enhanced cash pile to shore up its faltering foreign divisions. In fact, according to an analysis of GM’s SEC filings, the company is likely to incur over $6.5 billion in losses and expenditures overseas in the 2011-2014 period, not counting over $1.6b in foreign potential legal liabilities or several other incalculable expenses that could add up to billions more. Not only are these expenses a challenge to GM’s overall financial health at a time when it also faces billion-dollar expenditures on pensions in the US, it shows the basic problem with national bailouts of global companies. Taxpayers who were told they were saving an American company are now seeing their tax dollars flowing overseas by the billions.

A full calculation of GM’s overseas expenditures since the bailout would be a daunting task indeed. Simply by scouring GM’s latest SEC filings, one finds no shortage of losses and one-time expenditures abroad. In fact, nearly every division of GM’s global empire has required some kind of assistance over the last year or so. These expenditures come in many forms, from tax assessments to investments, from bailouts to severance deals, and due to the complex nature of GM’s global finances they cannot be fully accounted with precision. But they all emphasize the reality that, after years of living off foreign operations, GM’s bailed-out North American division is now bailing out the rest of the world.

New York Times Hacks State's Voter Rolls

A few days ago the NYT revealed that they had attempted to hack Washington State's voter rolls in order to test its vulnerabilities. In three minutes they were able to “update the registrations of several prominent executives in Washington State.”

What they did is get hold of publicly available voter information, then simply use the Secretary of State’s website to change a voter’s address. Voila! The ballot gets re-routed, and the voter wonders why they didn’t get a ballot. The article cites the potential of thousands of registrations being changed this way, impacting the outcome of elections. Is that really a danger?

Theoretically, yes. Even Secretary Reed’s staff admitted it could happen, although they cited several security measures already in place that would make it difficult to do on a grand scale. This is one of the many vulnerabilities with a vote-by-mail system, where someone really could submit ballots for a hundred other people and not be noticed. It’s a little harder to pull a hundred levers in a polling place without being stopped.

Sandra Fluke's Government Job Interview Summary

_____________________________________________________

North Carolina Registers 583 Democrat Votes Over the Age of 112

And now the record old. Democrats already have a monopoly on the dead, illegals and cartoon characters. It looks like the fraud isn’t enough so now they are registering people from the Guinness Book of World Records to vote.

From the Examiner:
"There are obviously verifiable vote fraud problems in North Carolina.
In 2010 those problems surfaced meaningfully as indicated in the below voter fraud post from an earlier Charlotte Conservative Examiner article:
"Perhaps in an effort to promote North Carolina as one of the healthiest States in the Nation, this latest voter twist comes to us from Susan Myrick of the Civitas Institute in North Carolina–not to be confused with Rep. Sue Myrick of NC who is unrelated. In a radio interview with local WBT Anchor Tara Servatious, Susan reports that she has been keeping track of the number of votes in North Carolina of individuals over the age of 110 years and apparently we have quite a few, over 410 of the 110 year olds–to be exact– actually voted via absentee ballot on October the 28th. Yes indeed, now it would appear that good ole NC has the market cornered on the Centenarian vote.
At latest count, Susan has garnered a total Absentee Ballot vote of over 2,660 people over the age of 110. "
"Someone contact the Guiness Book and warm up the Ford, the Fountain of Youth exists and its right here in lovely NC. It’s no wonder people are moving here in droves–maybe the use of tobacco isn’t such a bad thing after all? But, on a more serious note, with all of the irregularities going on all over the place, we can now begin to wonder about a few things.
Apparently those ultra-healthy seniors over 110 have aged and are now astoundingly over 112 years old, and are still able to make it to the polls ahead of time.
According to a post originally from the Silence Dogood political blog report, there were at least 758 individuals over the age of 112 who had either risen from their respective graves, or otherwise, to vote once again for the Democrats in charge, who might apparently have also guaranteed them an ever-lasting vote for life and beyond."

Obama Foreign Policy Problem

By Rosemary L.

Barack Obama brought to the presidency the foreign policy experience of a community organizer, that is to say, none. And it shows. Then turned it over to an incompetent ex- president's wife. If there is such a thing as an Obama Doctrine, it might be this: React slowly to a foreign crisis and, in a conflict, pick a side hostile to U.S. interests.

America's Foreign Policy Disastrous Dynamic Duo

Libya: Without the U.S. taking the dominant military lead, NATO’s feeble effort was exposed as a shocking weakness in the military alliance. And Obama still hasn’t explained why Gaddafi’s troops shooting into crowds warranted retribution, while Syrian President Bashar al-Assad could do the same with impunity. What an ill-conceived effort, with no real leadership and no clear goals. And the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya last month and the aftermath just shows the the Obama impotence.

Iran:  In 2009, when Tehran protesters looked to Washington for help, Obama offered little support as he held on to the ludicrous dream that his magical words could sway Iran’s Islamist leaders. His naive stance snubbed the masses of people hoping for democratic reform while ensuring that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will continue his march on to make Iran a dangerous armed nuclear power.

Egypt:  First, Joe Biden says longtime U.S. ally Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was not a dictator, then the administration calls for him to step aside. By withdrawing support for Mubarak, Obama sent shock waves to other U.S. allies in the Middle East, including oil-rich Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and gave an opening for the Muslim Brotherhood rise to power.

Israel:  Obama’s speech seeking a return to Israel’s 1967 borders undercut America’s only reliable ally in the region. His attempt to broker any kind of accord between Israel and the Palestinians is in disarray. Israel is rightfully concerned with Obama’s hard-line on Israeli borders and his fondness for the Arab world. And with the “Arab Spring” sweeping Islamists into power, Israel has been further isolated in the region.

Pakistan: This supposed U.S. ally has consistently undermined U.S. anti-terror efforts, as its intelligence service seemingly is supportive of anti-American jihadists. Pakistan either allowed safe harbor for Osama bin Laden or was totally incompetent despite billions of dollars of U.S. aid. The mixed signals from the Obama administration following the Osama bin Laden raid only further damaged the relationship with Pakistan, a nuclear power.

Russia: Obama’s clumsy attempt to push the reset button with Russia had the U.S. making concessions on missile defense and nuclear arms without gaining anything in return. Instead of moving closer to the U.S., Russia is aligning with China, Brazil, India and other developing nations on key issues. Putin sees him as a wimp.

Apologizing:  Obama’s apology tour shortly after taking office sent the message that he didn’t really think all that highly about America. Not only wasn’t America exceptional, but it was guilty of heinous offenses. No thank you, Mr. President, we honor those who died for our country, we can be proud of the causes they served and families they left behind.

The Freakin Story Lady Returns!

So Set Yo Ass Down and Shut Up, Cause I'm Gonna Tell Ya a Story!

 Todays Story -
" Beauty and the Beast (D-Fla.)  "
  By the Freakin Story Lady.

Sit down! Okay.......Once upon a time there was a magnificent golden castle (obviously not where I come from) on a silver cloud high up in the sky, which has nothin to do with nothin cause my story is about an old wood chopper dude who lived in a shack, but that's a good way to start a fairy tale, know what I'm sayin...

The old man was very happy, but he had a daughter, who was very unhappy because....well, she was rather plain. Actually, she was really plain. No, in fact, she was one ugly white girl who had a face like five miles of bad road......

Anyways, it was time for her to marry, but because she was so ugly, none of the young men of the kingdom ever came to ask for her hand, or any other part of her body, for that matter. Then one day, the old man decided to cheer her up.

"Child, it is your birthday and I've brought you something to keep you from being so lonely."

"A man?" she asked, wide-eyed"

"Nope. A donkey."
the old man said "And not just any donkey. It's a Democrat Donkey"

Romney's Record On Women

Women for Mitt

"Women have become accustomed to strong words from politicians on equality and our role in the world. They are, after all, trying to win our votes. But when Mitt Romney talks about women, when he says he believes that we can do any job a man can do, I know from experience that he’s speaking from the heart.

I served as Lt. Governor with Mitt Romney when he was Governor of Massachusetts. In fact, of the twenty top positions in the Romney administration, ten of them were filled by women, more than any other state in the nation. Romney's Chief of Staff was a woman – Beth Myers. As we took office, our administration actively sought to recruit the best and brightest women the Commonwealth had to offer. And Governor Romney wasn’t just checking a box. He sought out our counsel, and he listened to our advice. We didn’t always agree, but we were always respected. Mitt Romney didn’t judge the people who were in his administration by their gender. He wanted the best, male or female. There’s no greater evidence that Mitt Romney will represent all Americans than his record of treating all people fairly and impartially. His was a brand of leadership that got things done by bringing people together, not dividing them.

We need that kind of leadership today. People are hurting in this country, and women especially have been suffering. The numbers are stark. Five-and-a-half million women are unemployed. Under President Obama, the number of women living in poverty has climbed to a record high of nearly twenty-six million.

Despite President Obama’s best efforts—and despite his soaring rhetoric—his policies simply haven’t worked. In the two debates we have seen so far, we’ve heard the President give excuses for his disappointments, but we haven’t heard him offer a specific plan or concrete proposals detailing how the next four years will be any different than the last four years.

We can’t afford four more years of the status quo.

What we need is change, and that is precisely what Governor Romney is offering. He has a plan that will create twelve million new jobs, one that will get our economy moving again and lift Americans back out of poverty. He’ll do it by offering strong leadership and by working across the aisle with Republicans and Democrats.

I know that he can accomplish these goals because I have seen him do it before. And when he does succeed, millions of women will have good jobs with rising pay and new opportunities to fulfill their dreams. That is the kind of empowerment and equality that we need now more than ever." -
Kerry Healey, Former Lt. Governor of Massachusetts

Beating Barack Obama Exactly The Way He Planned

Wizbang

"A couple of months ago the hue and cry among conservatives about Mitt Romney trailing President Obama in the polls was deafening. Articles were written in most major mainstream publications attempting to figure out where Romney was failing. Blame was pointed all over the place at various members of Romney’s team and at the candidate himself.

Mitt Romney delivered on a nationwide stage exactly when he planned to deliver – face to face with the President. People knew who President Obama was, what they didn’t know was who Mitt Romney really was; just what they heard about him from the Obama and supporting SuperPAC ad machine. When Romney acquitted himself as serious, presidential, and far different that the caricature portrayed in Obama ads, he vaulted in front of the President. Of course long-time supporters already expected Romney to be ahead of Obama due the poor economy, but as Romney himself said in the 47% video’s people like Obama as a person and those who voted for him on 2008 have to be gently walked to dropping their support.

His performance in the first debate effectively destroyed the Obama campaign’s big summer spending campaign. Romney is now outspending the President in advertising in swing states, and has turned that debate performance into serious momentum. Notice that the whole shift, both in focus and results, is in line with the strategy that the Romney people laid out months ago.

New polls show Romney with big leads in Virginia and Florida, states he was struggling in a few weeks ago. Other “leaning Obama” states are moving back to toss-ups. In the second Presidential debate Romney polled well ahead of President Obama on the issues, especially the economy.

The Romney campaign took a big gamble on a big strategic plan and its paying off. Obama’s strategy was a gamble as well, but in following that plan he’s put himself into the trailing situation he’s in today. There’s really no new plan for either, the two campaigns are essentially locked into their strategies. The good news for Romney is that his strategy is focused on these final weeks. The bad news for Obama is that his strategy was focused on destroying Mitt Romney over the summer, not closing the deal in the final weeks."

Pants on Fire and Candy Throwing Gasoline

Obama Did Not call it a Terrorist Attack

He never said it was an terrorist attack.
The closest he came to that was when he said:
"Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.
No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done."
Throughout the speech, he only called them ‘attackers’.

Diogenes' Brief History of Electoral College Presidential Contest

These are the Electoral College Presidential Election maps going back to 1972, all from the American Presidency Project. Hitting the link above each map will take you to a detailed analysis of each election, a tally of the Electoral College votes allocated to each state at the time, plus a state-by-state vote total and other trivia.

1972  In the early 1970s, the left wing (i.e.Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, George McGovern) had gained control of the Democrat party, but America wasn't buying it back in those days. Sitting President Richard Nixon was reelected with 520 Electoral votes (60% popular vote) with George McGovern only taking 17 (Massachusetts). Origins of the phrase "Epic Fail".

1976  Richard Nixon's Vice-President, Spiro Agnew, had just resigned. Gerald Ford was appointed to fill in as V.P. Then Nixon had to walk the plank. Ford then fell headfirst into the Oval Office unelected. The Republicans went ahead and gave Ford the nomination, since it appeared to be his turn. Washington outsider Jimmy Carter carried the south and won the 1976 election with 297 votes to Ford's 240. Democrats were suspicious.

1980  After a disastrous 4 years of a bad economy, inflation, attacks from his party's far left wing and hostages in Iran, Ronald Reagan rode in and defeated Carter 489 to 49, with Jimmy Carter carrying only his home state of Georgia, plus West Virginia, Maryland, Hawaii, VP Walter Mondale's Minnesota, and D.C. Democrat's suspicions confirmed.

1984   Ronald Reagan almost ran the table by handily defeating the Democrats sacrificial lamb Walter Mondale in the largest electoral college landslide in modern American history, 525 to 13. Mondale captured nothing but his ever-loyal Minnesota, plus D.C. Wipe out!

1988   Riding on the popularity of Ronald Reagan and their 2 successful terms, his V.P. George H.W. Bush beat an impotent Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis 426 to 111. Let's face it people, I could have beat Dukakis.....

1992  Despite Bush's one time approval rating of 90%, a young and cocky Bill Clinton came from out of nowhere to beat George Bush the Elder by a total of 370 to 168. Texas business man Ross Perot ran as a third party, thus mudding the water and helped damage and take votes from Bush. Clinton was elected with only 43% of the vote. Remember this, Republicans....If you say "no new taxes", you better mean it.

1996  A disastrous first 2 years behind him, Bill Clinton zipped up his pants long enough to rally his supporters. The Republicans trotted out an ineffective Bob Dole because it was his turn. Clinton won reelection handily, 379 to 159. Once again the Perot factor prevented Clinton from getting a majority of the popular vote (49%). His pants soon returned to the floor.

2000  After the scandal ridden Clinton administration, George W. Bush barely squeaked by Clinton's V.P., Al Gore in a contested election with Gore winning the popular vote and Bush winning that what counts by a score of 271 to 267. The Everglades water level rose from the weight of all the lawyers in Florida. Democrats can safely blame this one on Bill Clinton's zipper issues.

2004  George W. Bush won reelection by beating John Kerry, 286 to 252.  Kerry came off as a wealthy Pompous Ass and Gucci Marxist through most of the campaign, but democrats wanted revenge so bad for 2000 and would have voted for Paris Hilton if it had been necessary.

2008  The Democrats snake oil salesmen dig up a back bench Senator named Barack Obama. The Republicans nominated John McCain because it was his turn. Despite his lack of any experience, not being vetted by the media and a controversial past, Obama goes on to election, 365 to 173. Nuff said.....

Obama's Debate Prep

Middle Finger News Service

With the second Presidential debate just one day away, President Obama has been working intensively on two skills that eluded him in the first debate: talking and thinking.

According to one aide, much of the Presidents debate preparation has involved rehearsing a slew of prepackaged “zingers,” with mixed results: “We gave him what we thought was a foolproof line about the budget deficit and he somehow turned it into a crack about Paul Ryans workout pictures.” Reportedly, Obama's practice debates have gone worse than expected, with the President getting trounced by a variety of opponents, including a Secret Service agent and his Apple personal assistant Siri.

At a campaign appearance in Ohio today, Michelle Obama attempted to lower expectations for her husband's performance at this Tuesdays debate: “When Barack starts working his mouth and goes off on some weird tangent about who knows what, please just tune him out. God knows that’s how I’ve survived all these years.” The President also downplayed his debate prospects, telling supporters: “Mitt Romney could very well be the greatest debater I've ever faced. He’s Abraham Lincoln, Clarence Darrow, and the Roman orator Cicero put together. Next to that silver-tongued rascal I could very well sound like someone with a head injury, or like Joe Biden.”

Later in the day, the White House released a statement apologizing to people with head injuries.

If Joe Biden So Easily Lies….

….about something that is as easily verified as if he voted in favor of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, what else is he and this administration lying about?

And do you really want another four years of a man and administration who think you’re so stupid that you won’t know when they’re lying to your face like a guy caught in bed, naked, with another woman who claims, “It’s not what it looks like!”?

Because….yes, they really do think you’re that stupid.

An Open Letter To The Undecided Voter...

By Matthew N.
The Lunatic Asylum

Dear Undecided Voter,

I understand that the choice you are being asked to make on November 6th, 2012 is an important one that will have many unknown and long-term effects, and that as such, you wish to make the best decision you possibly can.

Truly, it is important that you, Undecided Voter, be given every opportunity to scrutinize both major candidates for the Presidency of the United States, and be given all the time you need to ensure that you understand each candidate's position on a wide variety of issues of burning import. I comprehend the magnitude of the decision that you are being asked to make, and the sheer sense of solemn responsibility that you feel for having to make it.

Really, it's quite alright if you take your time, and make certain you know what all the angles and issues are before you make that all-important decision.

Basically, your choice can be summed up, thus:

You can either vote for Barack Obama, a man who has shown himself to be about useful as fleas are to a dog, a man who has a proven record of saying one thing and then doing the exact opposite. A man who acts surprised and annoyed that we -- the Voting Public -- somehow have the audacity to challenge him or hold him accountable for the results of his policies (usually, his response is that we're stupid and did not infer the sheer genius hidden within lofty-but-empty speeches, or conversely, we're all racists for daring to question such an august personality and towering intellect, or even that we're impatient rubes who aren't sophisticated enough to await the always-just-around-the-corner magical explosion of rich, creamy goodness that is inherent in every enlightened Obama Policy) because we actually took him at his word, silly goose.

You can vote for Obama, who still believes that George W. Bush is to blame for everything, including the resurgence of whooping cough and bedbugs, who feels that his mere suggestion that 'something be done' about X,Y and Z should encourage others to do the heavy lifting of actually solving the problems, and who is apparently wedded to a sort of political ideology that went out of style in the 1930's (largely because it failed), if you want.

You can pull the lever for the man who, in a series of actions that reminds one of Nero and a fiddle and a burning city, decided that when America needed a strong economic plan to begin the slow process of recovery from a fiscal body blow, thought it best to attack the one sector of the American Economy that worked just fine and spend a year-and-a-half flogging a Rube Goldberg Monstrosity that generated a 2,900 page bill that no one has read, which doesn't take effect until next year, and has done nothing but frighten the bejesus out of people, if you like.

You can vote for the man who borrowed nearly a trillion bucks form the Chinese to make sure that turtles could safely cross the interstate, and that municipalities could (temporarily) hire more workers they then subsequently fired because they couldn't afford them absent the government check, and who brought us the phrase "Shovel Ready" which we morons interpreted to mean a project ready to commence -- and thus put people to work, and spur some economic activity -- but which, alas, apparently referred only to our Enlightened Overlord's overblown-and-written-by-some-white-guy's rhetoric.

You can choose to expend your franchise on a man who has quadrupled our National Debt in under four years, and blamed it all on someone else. You can vote for the guy who is still running against George W. Bush, despite the fact that a) he never actually did run against GWB to begin with, and, b) GWB is no longer President, but Obama himself is. Obama has turned the office of the Presidency into a travelling circus, popping up all over the country to give boilerplate speeches in front of hand-picked audiences, to shamelessly beg for money from people who he then calls the worst of names and demonizes on a daily basis, for his own benefit, from behind the Seal of the President.

And assholes that they are, they somehow manage to give it to him.

You can decide to punch that card, pull that lever, or whatever, for the man who once promised to heal the racial divide in America, but who has only, thus far, succeeded in reinforcing every negative stereotype about Black Men that comes to mind. You can vote for the Man who never held a real job in his life before this one, and whose lack of experience, knowledge, and a work ethic shows on a daily basis. You can vote to continue living in a status quo world where the status is measured in sound bites, demagoguery, nastiness, lies and deceit, political posturing, and a dearth of ideas, and the quo is measured in Food Stamps, Unemployment lines, dead Ambassadors, increasing National Debt, military weakness, and Green Energy 'investments' that turn out to be little more than bribes and swindles.

If you're one of those people who cared about rising sea levels, you can continue this act of faith that Obama will, eventually, get around to calming the oceans, or conversely, passing a law -- assuming he can get it past those goofy republicans! -- that requires the oceans to lower of their own accord by 2057, and then to submit a rigorous regime of regulatory paperwork every other month for review by the Ocean Czar, or face a hefty fine.

I can truly see how attractive it might be to you, Undecided voter, to agonize over the prospect of giving your endorsement to a man who promises you everything and then explains that delivery is impossible. You probably have along and painful experience with men who tell you things like "It's good for your teeth and prevents pregnancy, Honey" who then fail to call the next day, and I understand how old habits become hard to break. I sympathize with the dilemma you are faced with in trying to decide whether a long, slow, national suicide is perhaps slightly more preferable to an abrupt collapse, at least for the sake of your conscience and comfort. I savvy that most of you are Undecided simply because you're holding out for the bigger and better bribe, or perhaps dumber than Kelly Pickler on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

I really do feel you on the magnitude of what you're being asked to do, what with sorting out the various nuances of a vast array of often-confusing issues, most of which often have nothing to do with you, personally; how many men out there agonize over the voting decision because of a candidates position on contraception, or partial birth abortion, just so that when they try to pick up chicks at cocktail parties they don't sound stupid? There must be dozens of you women out there who are kept awake at night by the specter of reduced or eliminated ethanol subsidies.under a Romney regime, or scared shitless by the ramifications of an early withdrawal of American influence from Khazakistan.

I know you don't want to make the wrong choice with such incredibly important subjects on the table.

Then again, just to complicate matters to the point where your tiny little brain almost can't handle it anymore, you have to deal with the added and annoying variable of a possible second choice.

Because there's someone else running for President, too, you know. That means you'll have to take time out of your busy day, Soccer Mom, to listen to what he has to say, too, and maybe even expend more energy and braincells trying to figure out what his suggested policies mean to you, Hacky-Sack-playing-stoner-who-lives-in-his-parent's- basement.

All this Mitt Romney fellow is trying to do is get into office so that he can advocate for and enact policies that actually work. It's been proven they do. You can look that up on Wikipedia, the First Resource of Choice for the Undecided Voter. All this Mitt Romney character wants to do is lower your taxes (unless you're one of those 47% who don't pay any), put you back to work (unless you enjoy collecting 1/8 of your regular salary in Unemployment checks, and have taken a shine to No Frills Mac&Cheese three meals a day), and give you the opportunity to live up to your fullest potential, rather than make you a slave to an unfeeling, uncaring, unquestionable Federal Government which either sees you as a number or an expense to be killed off by some anonymous and unaccountable Medical Review Board.

I'm going to tell you a little story about a person who could never make a decision, even a clear one, to save her own life:

I once dated a very lovely, intelligent woman who was able to handle just about anything life threw at her right up until the second she was confronted with the possibility of making a choice. Never failed; whenever the hint of a decision came into the picture, this woman would vacillate, talk to everyone she knew to get their opinion,.second guess herself every fifteen seconds, begin to act and then change her mind, she would take one step forward, and then two steps back, descending into a virtual swamp of indecision that gave anyone watching it indigestion.

One day, having been invited to a friend's wedding in a few weeks, we went shopping so that she could buy herself a dress for the occasion. Several hours into this endeavor she finally found something she liked, style-wise, and was all primed to buy it. But, the indecision came.

The dress came in three colors; should she buy the black one, the navy one, or the red one? Then again, the dress was on sale, and it might make sense to buy at least two. Of course, since they were on sale and she could afford it, she might as well buy all three. Then again, if she bought all three we'd have to start attending more formal functions, just so she wouldn't have wasted her money. No, no...she was going to buy the black one, and that was it. Standing on line to pay, she decided she would rather have the red one, and went back to fetch it, losing her place in line in the process. She then decided to go back and get the black one, too, as it was her first choice, and she always wound up returning to her first choice in any case.

She walked between the rack and the register so much that she was in danger of wearing a hole in the carpeting.

Finally, exasperated by the experience, and no longer willing to hold her fucking purse for another hour or two, I stepped in. I took all three dresses off the rack, told her to sit the fuck down, and then paid for them myself, just so we could go home and finally get something to eat.

All the way home I was subjected to a soliloquy on how glad she was to have decided to buy them all, and which one did I think she would look better, because if she wore the black, it made her look taller, but the red gave her otherwise pale skin a certain glow, while the blue made her look all serious and mature, and wasn't it too bad the damned thing didn't come in Hunter Green, too? But anyway, the pattern was still a great choice, don't you agree, etc, etc, etc.

Needless to say, that chick only managed to last five years because she understood that it was good for her teeth and prevented pregnancy. And she was so good at it that the aggravation and potential ulcers were a risk worth running.

I get the general impression that the Undecided Voter of Today is very much like that girlfriend in Bloomingdale's all those years ago. They mostly seem to possess an odd mixture of neuroses and situational stupid that literally paralyzes them when it comes to making any sort of choice, particularly one that carries with it a grave responsibility, and which can be seen by us clear-thinking individuals as an obvious one.

The choice in 2012 is clear: you can continue to be led down the road to beggarhood, being attacked by terrorists, harranged to inhuman levels by your government, to have your intelligence insulted on a daily basis, to have everything that was once uniquely American 'transformed' into a stinking pile of turds, to have your wealth (well, whatever wealth you have left) systematically stripped from you to pay for everything from basic shelter to triple bypass surgery for people who will serve no future economic purpose, and whose only virtue is that they are wards of the state and thus amenable to democratic (small 'd' intentional) political propaganda. You can chose to live in a polarized, politicized, government-run Soweto in Southern California, Bangladesh in Baltimore, or Calcutta-on-the-Hudson, or you can choose to live as a free person, who has had his personal rights and freedoms restored.

It is apparent that some citizens out there are unable to make this simple choice. It behooves us, the Normal People who can tell the difference between sterling silver and a polished turd, to help these troubled souls finally come to the right decision.

I hope have made the choice easier for you, Undecided Voter, with this heartfelt and sincere attempt to sway your mind, because all the other alternatives involved forced sterilization and running you over with a rented U-Haul truck.

Todays Story:
" Rumpleystiltskin "
By the Freakin StoryLady.

Listen Up. Once upon a time, there was this miller's daughter or sumpthin like that named Twanda. Now Twanda had a pathetic existence. All day long, she would do nuttin but spin straw. And all night long, she'd sit up and think how she would like to be famous. Oh, to be famous, with untold riches and mens falling at her feets, her own line of action figures, cardboard standees ........

Then one night.... POOF..... a strange little man appeared before her.

"Sista" he said,"I can make ya famous overnight!"
"Who are you?"
"I am what is known as a PR man", he squeaked. "You know, public relations. Publicity. Fakery. Glamorize the unglamorous. Turn the pedestrian splendorous. Now let's see. What can you do baby"?
"Oh, I can spin straw."
"Spin straw! I love it baby. Love it".
"What you mean, you love it"?
"Don't interrupt girl. I'm looking for an idea....the spark! Of course...you spin straw into gold"!
But I can't spin straw into...
"Hush up. Don't matter! Don't matter! I'll do the talking. I'll just contact Oprah".

And so it happened that overnight,
Twanda  did become famous. Gossip pages, talk shows, Anderson Cooper interviews and her own entourage of beefy security men who would beat up fans.
