In Honor of Kate and William

The Future Queen of England Looking Forward
to Descending into Royal Lunacy

“She shall be one of us,”- Prince William

(Across the Pond)  In the first interview since her engagement to Prince William, presumptive Queen Consort Kate Middleton said she looks forward to becoming a full-fledged member of the British royal family by going insane. To that end, the future Princess of Wales said she was grateful that family assistance was close at hand. “I’ve got my new brother-in-law Harry, who dresses like a Nazi, I’ve got my father-in-law, Prince Charles, who collects toilet seats and Prince Philip and Princess Michael have been teaching me how to make royal farting noises then laugh eerily about it.”

Although the wedding announcement came last week, the two were engaged in October while on holiday. Sitting side by side, Kate and William recalled the moment fondly.
“It was quite romantic,” she said. “We were in Africa, and he pulled out this gigantic ring and said, "Kate, marry me and I’ll make you the craziest woman in the world.
It was a magical moment." William said he immediately called Gran (Queen Elizabeth) to tell her, but she was taking a bubble bath with the Yorkies.”

Although part of the House of Windsor, Kate said it was important that she be her own nutter.  “I want to take my time, maybe study what some of my new ancestors did. I mean, Henry VIII beheaded his wives. The first Elizabeth apparently slept with a horse."

“That's never proven,” William loving interrupted.

“Yes, but look at Charles’ wife, Camilla. Your family is obviously attracted to them" katie was heard to whisper.

Now matter what path to bedlam she takes, however, Palace observers say Kate will have to contend with the elephant in the rubber room: Princess Diana. Will Kate become the new  "People's Psychotic Princess”?

Can Obama be Defeated? Two Views

Update: links have been fixed.
.
Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton both had approval ratings close to, and even lower than the 45 percent level where Obama's popularity now stands, and both suffered big midterm setbacks in congressional elections. Both presidents went on to win re-election.

But unlike 1984 and 1996, things are dramatically different. Ronald Reagan was tough, an expert negotiator and was able to deal with Tip O'Neal, then Speaker of the House, to lower taxes and bring prosperity back to America. Bill Clinton, while maybe the kind of guy you would want to hang out with and have a beer, was as shady as Richard Nixon but a excellent campaigner and successful politician, in part because of the newly elected Republican House Speaker called his hand and presented him with the list of promises made to the people that helped usher in a republican controlled house in 1994. Clinton had the sense to sign the bills, and of course then take credit.

But Barack Obama is neither a great communicator nor the savvy politician his fore-mentioned predecessors were. Nor are the times similar. Obama took a bad situation and day by day has made it every increasingly worst, while ignoring the will of the people.

Can the former community organizer/ back bench junior Senator who charismatically fooled America into believing he was the answer to America's problems, get re-elected to the most powerful office in the land?

I found two very interesting points of view on this subject.  It's going to be a very interesting 18 months till the election.

From Mary Poppet comes the view of one of my favorite columnist Dr. Walter Williams.

"Can President Obama be defeated in 2012? No. He can't. I am going on record as saying that President Barak Obama will win a second term. Nine percent unemployment? No problem. Obama will win. Gas prices moving toward five dollars a gallon? He still wins. The truth is, there simply are no conditions under which Barak Obama can be defeated in 2012.
Obama's re-election is really a very, very simple math problem."

Consider his 10 point presentation here No Matter What--Obama Wins in 2012.

But on the other hand........
from Jeffery Lord over at the American Spectator.

President Obama will not be re-elected. Period. Why? Obamaflation has arrived, and this is what it looks like."
Milk. A gallon of skim. At the local Giant in Central Pennsylvania:
January 11, 2011: $3.20
February 28, 2011: $3.24
March 6, 2011: $3.34
April 23. 2011: $3.48
That would be a 28 cent rise in a mere 102 days, from January to April of this year. The third year of the Obama misadventure.
Then there's the celery. Same sized bag. Same store.
January 11, 2011: $1.99 a bag.
March 6, 2011: $2.49 a bag.
A rise of 50 cents in 54 days.
"WHAT SEEMS TO HAVE LEFT Obama strategists clueless is the fundamental historical fact that inflation comes slowly. Milk today, celery tomorrow, and gas almost every day. Then, too late, there's a collective gasp of recognition by Americans walking around the grocery store that it's no longer just the milk and the celery but the soup, the chicken, the hamburger and perhaps now critically -- the Excedrin."
"It is such moments that elect a Ronald Reagan in 1980.

Consider the following here Obamaflation Arrives.

The “I’m In” Campaign.........

________________________________________________________

Narcissism and Ignorance Have Never Been Virtues, Mr. President

Barack Obama is two years into his presidency and he’s managed so far to post an even worse record than George W. Bush. His economy has lost over 3 million jobs, consumer confidence is at half of its historical average, unemployment is over 9 percent and has been that way for well over a year. To what extent is Obama's lack of executive experience  responsible for this?  It has been said the early George Bush and Obama have a lot in common. The difference between them, which is why Obama is the more dangerous for the economy, is he has proved he has very little by way of a skill set to understand the kinds of complex problems that he needs to address. But what he does have is an arrogance, if not unbounded confidence in himself.

Last spring Obama brought together a group of presidential historians for what was supposed to be the first of many meetings.  He was curious about the rise of the tea party, curious as to whether there had been precedents for this sort of backlash against the established order. He listened to these experts on the American presidency, but was prickly and didn't give anything away.

What most engaged Obama before his rise to the highest office in the land was his own biography.   Where so many of his predecessors had sought comfort and guidance in the ordeal of past presidents , there was no great deference in him to the burdens those forty-two men carried. He didn't look like those other presidents on the dollar bills, he said early in his political odyssey.

A president steeped in history would have never pushed ObamaCare on so thin a reed of public approval. Americans haven't ever worshiped at the altar of charismatic leadership like some peoples have, for we have been the most skeptical of peoples. We may have trusted several of their presidents through wars and economic downturns, but we have insisted on the wisdom of the public and on the ability of this republic of laws, institutions and precedent to see our way out of great dangers.
Obamabots  nod to American history with evocations of FDR’s New Deal and superficial parallels to JFK. But Kennedy had seen combat, was a Cold Warrior and believed in the burdens of American power. He would have never journeyed abroad to apologize on behalf of his country.

If he was indeed a student of history as Obama described himself in his 2009 Cairo speech, our president would have known that a command economy is alien to the American temperament and that liberal unfettered government spending was bound to arouse the antagonism of the American people. We were not all Keynesians after all, and the American people, much to liberals’ wonderment, do care about budget deficits and the future they leave their children. It’s time to let  John Maynard Keynes RIP and admit his failed theories have helped bankrupt many of the western democracies.

The era of charisma, which began when Obama was swept into office by delirium and enthusiasm has drawn to a close. The ‘Styrofoam Greek Columns’ and his  pedestal have been wheeled  away, and replaced with a golf cart.

CBS Refuses to Release Full Obama Donor Conversation.

By John Romano at YBH

"Last week Mark Knoller of CBS broke a seemingly big story. He released partial audio of President Obama talking to donors on a mic that was inadvertently “hot”. The tidbits CBS released were great. Chief among them was Mr. Obama calling some Federal employees “slugs” and his taking a much nastier tone with the GOP than he does in front of the cameras. The most famous, Obama asking his donors if the GOP thinks “we’re stupid”, was choice."

"However, CBS has not released the entire tape to the public or other media outlets. After several tweets by Yes,But,However! to Mr. Knoller as to why the full tape hasn’t been made public, he responded: “My editors decided against it.” Mr. Knoller offered to further explanation."

If the media continues to refuse to do it's job and question the motives, actions and words of our elected officials, they can not be taken seriously as a purveyor of truth and information. In this case, the same organization that never hesitated to report the public or private gaffs of other presidents, do on air reports on leaked national security secrets and air embarrassing moments of other politicians, now chooses to protect the president from his embarrassing and divisive comments about his supporters and opponents. Why the selective reporting?

Is it because the Obamabots in the media are afraid it will further damage the Child Emperor they played a large part in helping get elected, along with his chances of re-election. Are they afraid their access to the President will be restricted at the important campaign season if they don't play the game as expected? Or could it be the comments are so un-presidential they might be personally damaging to his image and/or relationships he is badly in need of?

Unfortunately for us, it seems CBS News has decreed from their ivory tower, that we need not know.

Responding to the Escalating Bad Behavior of Unhinged Leftists

From one of my favorite blogs, Fuzzy Logic:

The revolting, vile, and unhinged behavior of leftist protesters and union thugs is escalating. It's becoming more. More revolting, more vile, more unhinged. These bizarre self-loathing lunatics have crawled out of their dark corners on the far left fringes of decent society, and are doing everything they can to provoke good, decent American patriots. The videos are stomach-turning (you can see many of them over at
theblogprof, if you haven't already), their hatred emanates from their every unintelligible utterance, every disgusting slur, every sleazy threat. These are the people whom we ignored for decades. Lunatic commies, socialists, anti- and unAmerican weirdos who may once have raised an indulgent eyebrow (or prompted an eye roll) are now slithering into the light of day. This escalation is worrying.

They don't understand what socialism is (with a few high-profile exceptions like Lawrence O'Donnell), they haven't a clue who or what Nazis were/are (just some vague notion that Nazism is bad), and they couldn't tell you one tenet of fascism. They have no idea that there is a difference between a republic and a democracy, they are clueless about the difference between patriotism and rabid nationalism (everything's the same, right, these intellectual giants "think"), and they have no idea what the TEA Party is. We know this because they say the most absurd things, and with a straight face (well, it's usually kind of distorted by screaming and blind rage). They don't understand capitalism, they don't understand liberalism, and they don't understand conservatism. And that's just how the leftist puppet masters like it: informed people who are not stoked to within an inch of violence by class and race warfare are not malleable, controllable. Ignorance is key to the success of leftists; deception their lifeblood.

The demonetization of us, the lurid lies and truly illogical accusations are gobbled up, internalized, believed with a cult-like fervor and spat back out with a strange combination of an utter lack of self-awareness and a sinister, toxic venom.

Hypocrisy and the Entitlement Mentality

Years ago I could see an uninformed, mostly politically ignorant voter casting a ballot for Democrats because they truly believed a politician with a “D” beside their name was dedicated to looking out for the poor and downtrodden of society.
But today, a vote for any Democrat by those same voters is clearly just another way of saying, "Don't take away my entitlements; go take away the hope those soccer playing first graders have of living  the American Dream. They should only be allowed to eat at the troff after I spend my life gorging on my government entitlement provided sustenance. It's mine"

A vote for a Democrat is a vote for continuing fiscal irresponsibly . You're telling the four-year-old eating a delicious ice cream cone, "Screw your chocolate covered face. I'm leaving you a mountain of debt because I want all I can get while I can get it. I don't care about your future financial well being and I certainly don't care if America is indebted to other world powers like China, causing you to spend your entire adult life earning four dollars an hour assembling smart phones for elites. My only goal is making sure enough Democrats remain in power to provide me all the entitlements and handouts I need to live like I work hard."

The dangerously high budget deficits and national debt are ominous signs for the next generation that face threats, foreign and domestic, that can only be imagined. And despite the fact that America is at the breaking point and  todays children  will begin adulthood well behind the starting line, democrats and those supporting them still won't man up and admit the entitlement mentality has come to be our ruin if not addressed now.

They refuse to say, "We're adults and our refusal to act responsibly is ruining the future for children across this once great country. Its one thing to claim that reaching into the pocket of a rich man is noble, but even we can't spin the inherent evilness behind stealing from children. We're one step away from literally taking candy from a baby.”

Conservatives are of the mindset that adults should make sacrifices that will benefit the youth of America and the generations that follow. Liberals on the other hand, demand endless gut expansion, regardless of the tiny empty bellies their gluttony leaves behind.

I guess it's only "for the children" when it's convenient.

Well, I'm Glad You Cleared That Up For Us.

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama wants you to know that he is not a golf addict. He spends so much time unwinding on the links because security restrictions mean he can't go out for long walks or go to the carwash or the grocery store. The president said he loves his life in the White House but doesn't enjoy some of the ways of Washington, such as the "kabuki dance" among political partisans before serious policy discussions begin. He also regrets his loss of personal privacy.
"I just miss - I miss being anonymous, I miss Saturday morning, rolling out of bed, not shaving, getting into my car with my girls, driving to the supermarket, squeezing the fruit, getting my car washed, taking walks. I can't take a walk."
"I just want to go through Central Park (in New York) and watch folks passing by ... spend the day watching people. I miss that."

Mr. President, I'm sure most of the men who have held your high position in modern times have felt much as you do about the lack of privacy and public mobility. We do feel for you Sir, I hear it's lonely at the top.  But I know I speak for a lot of Americans when I say that we would be very forgiving of you if you were to just throw in the towel and decide not to run for re-election in order for you to have your private life back.

Look at it this way; you're now a infamous famous world figure, and one of only 44 men to achieve your status as elected leader of this delicate experiment we call America. You were awarded a Noble Peace Prize for.........well you got one. You have schools named after you, have dined with the elites of the world and even may someday have a navy tugboat or something named after you. And as far as your leadership, you have achieved things never done before, like spending more than all the other Presidents before you put together and taking political payback to new heights never dreamed.

You have dazzled us with you teleprompter reading skills, and wowed us with your off-prompter comments and judicious use of  ..."uh".... that has become your trademark and we have all come to love. Of course, that uniting the country in bi-partisan  bliss, and ending wars and the world all loving us again and stuff, well it didn't work out so well. Seems no one noticed anyway. But, we know from all the whining fatherly talk, that the guys before you left everything in such an impossible mess.

So, MR. President, I assure you, it's alright with most of us if you were to just grab the wookie first lady and the kids and mosey on back to Chicago, build yourself a library to showoff your achievement, play golf, squeeze the melons at the Pac-a- Sack and not shave on Saturdays like the rest of us private citizens.

Really, Mr. President, you will be missed. But we'll get over it.

Great Moments in History #32

needed for the war effort in 1942.

But Fool You Twice.........Shame on You.

Fact #1 - I History tells us it is extremely difficult to defeat a sitting president for a second term.  Extraordinary circumstances, such as strong third party candidates must be in play.

Fact #2 - History tells us at no time in this country’s history has a sitting President seemed so inept, out of focus, uneducated to the ways of governing , spent so fast the political capital and good will which comes with a new administration  and reversed so many campaign statements and promises used to dupe Americans to vote for him.  (I chose not to use “Lie” in favor of “Ignorance”).

Now that Obama has officially thrown his hat into the race (sorry -- can't say 'race' in re: Obama) I mean, into the competition, rumors swirl about a challenger.
"I would rather be a good one-term President then a bad two-term one....." Barack Obama
For Obama to bow out and not run for re-election would be an admission of failure. And if there's one thing we know about this president, it's his failures   But in Obama’s world, everyone else fails, but never him. When Obama fails it's not because he advocated a bad idea, or chose the wrong policy or priority, it's because he didn't communicate his vision to the village idiots well enough; we're just too stupid to understand his unparalleled brilliance.

That's why the man spent the first 15 months of his Presidency pushing a Health Care law that couldn't even be explained, which is an assault upon American Liberties and Pocketbooks. He still hasn't figured out how to explain why, if this ObamaCare thing is such a wonderful policy, 1,000 waivers (granted on the grounds of political necessity, i.e. guarantee votes) have been issued.

That's why we were treated to three years of  George Bush did this, that and the other, except that Bush was (mostly) right, and when Obama adapted wholesale all the Bush policies on War and Terrorism, there was no admission of having been wrong to criticize them in the first place. There is PLENTY to criticize GWB about, but the War on Terror was not one of them, at least in theory.

I don't know exactly he's going to run on. I mean, you'd be hard-pressed to find an actual achievement to brag about.

But there were all those great photo-ops….. Obama emerging from the surf……..Obama playing golf….. Obama receiving a Nobel Peace Prize for Being Black……… Obama visiting the few unsoiled parts of the Gulf Coast before continuing his interminable summer vacation and filing a lawsuit against BP. I guess those sorts of images will sway some voters, those who still believe that Obama would pay their bills and fill their gas tanks.  But where the rubber meets the road, the Great Candidate Slayer question "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?" will be asked, and Obama will have no answer for it, and his machinations in appearing to be answering it will be an all too obvious dog and pony show.

Is I stated in earlier post Warming Up the Clinton Smear Machine and Yep...I Still Think Pantsuit is Gonna Run, I believed Hillary Clinton might challenge Obama in the primaries. But Obama has made a bad situation at home and abroad even worst with his incompetence dealing with foreign governments and lack of attention to wishes of the American people, and Clinton may see nothing but a giant hole in which to fall.

I am beginning to have some doubts about my prior predictions.

PBS to Try Capitalist Experiment.

New York - The Public Broadcasting System (PBS) will announce on Monday that it will launch a new, for-profit cable television network in 2012. A Public Broadcasting spokesperson said that the new venture, the  TNA Network, will be devoted to women's beach volleyball, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. "If this venture goes as planned, we will never, never, NEVER have to hold another lame-ass fund-raiser for public television in this nation again!"

I think they may be on to something here!
